Balanced Warrior.

It says it increases Weapon Damage and Spell Resist.
This doesn't increase Magic Damage right?
Should it not increase both?
Balanced warrior should be Magic and Weapon damage. That way it actually lives up to the skill name.
Am i wrong on this?

Well, it'd be mighty powerful as an overall damage buff.

IMO, the weapon damage should be removed totally.

No it really shouldn't. Every class has its own way to increase their damage. Nightblades are a little different as they get critical damage buffs.

Templars already get 5% increased spell damage passively anytime they use a Dawn's Wrath ability (Solar Flare, Sun Fire, Jesus Beam, etc.). But they have no class-based skills that give Major Brutality or Minor Brutality (weapon damage buffs). Balanced Warrior is not meant to be balanced in and of itself. It is meant to balance out areas where the Templar class, as a whole, has weaknesses. And weapon damage buffs are a weakness for Templars. Dragonknights get Igneous Weapons (+25% weapon damage buff), Sorcerers get Critical Surge (+22% weapon damage buff and long-lasting passive heal), Nightblades get Power Extraction (+20% weapon damage buff + AoE damage).

Templars already have the same critical damage buff of NBs too. On top of that, they get the extra weapon damage.

The skills you mentioned all give Major Brutality, which is easily obtained by Templars and they are all 20% weapon damage. In fact, Rally beats Igneous Weapons and Power Extraction is a very weak AoE, compared to Steel Tornado.

But we are talking about balance. The passive is called "Balanced Warrior" after all. Rally is better than Igneous Weapons, but ties you to Two-Handed (a garbage weapon in PvE). Steel Tornado is a better AoE than Power Extraction, but does not give Major Brutality. The Dual Wield ability that gives Major Brutality is a garbage ability. There is a good and bad to all these options. Balanced Warrior does not give 6% Spell Damage, but you can get 5% spell damage for 20 seconds from using a Dawn's Wrath ability. If Balanced Warrior gave 6% spell damage, it is no longer balanced. You would be giving +11% spell damage to Jesus Beam even before Major Sorcery. That is not balanced. Whereas if you removed the 6% weapon damage from Balanced Warrior, it would really hurt Stamplar. They struggle to keep up with other PvE DPS classes as is.

Makes sense now. The name just bothers me somehow.
Thanks guys. Forgot about the Dawns Wrath damage buff.
In my opinion, it should be called Holy Might or something.
