Maelstrom Arena Sets BOE

I humbly request that the following sets are changed from bind-on-pickup to bind-on-equip:

The Maelstrom Arena is a one of a kind. There is no other single-player progressive challenge in the game. The sets you aquire from chests during the challenge are bind-on-pickup, which means that they are exclusive. There is no reason for this, let them see the light of day.
Here is a quote from the v2.6.4 patch notes:
I would not consider the Maelstrom Arena a dungeon. You may ask: what about Dragonstar Arena? Sets aquired from group challenges, such as dungeons, trials and the Dragonstar Arena are tradable within the group, which balances out the bind-on-pickup. You can do no such thing in the Maelstrom Arena. Therefore, I only find it fair that the sets aquired from the Maelstrom Arena are changed to bind-on-equip. And no, I do not mean the Maelstrom weapons.

The only set I can see people wanting is Winterborn.
No point farming normal because the jewellery is blue. But yeah, it's the only reason I've kept all my Winterborn drops was the hope it would one day become BoE so I could sell it all.
I tried to come up with a build that utilised Permafrost, but it's just not happening xD0 -
Valve✭✭✭✭I guess it wouldn't be too bad -- I'd be able to sell gold Winterborn rings from the weekly!
To be honest, I'm not sure what the tooltip difference between Blue and Purple Winterborn jewellery actually is, but the enchants you apply to it are just as strong no matter the quality of the jewellery, only the level of the gear and the quality of the enchant will matter here.
Of course the gear might CP 150, but I've no idea since I haven't done normal in over a year -- I don't even normally loot chests in vet (I have the past 3 runs because of these skulls).

I was farming this set last weekend to try a funny build of the Frostmage (with Iceheart monster set which I already have in divines). At least I was going to farm it... Last weekend I did 5 runs through vMA and I got only one (O-N-E!) piece of Winterborn and of course it was prosperous. I know RNG can be mean and unfair but come on... One Winterborn piece per 5 runs? It must be something wrong with this... I got a feeling that Winterborn has the lowest drop rate compared to other vMA sets... Not to mention that all vMA weapons I got from these 5 runs were either charged or decisive.
vMA is such an unrewarding and discouraging place...0 -

I love that build on my main. I actually used Shadow Dancer at first for the stam recovery and double magicka bonus, but now that I mastered vMSA and gotten a good collection of Winterborn pieces, I think it's time to for my main to return to Cyrodiil.

I support this, regardless of how much farming I did for my Winterborn set. I don't wish anyone my kind of bad luck.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

I haven't gotten a ring from VMA since they made the last chance 100% weapon drop (rings would drop from here before instead of weapons)

Never seen a Winterborn weapon, so I don't think they exist. I did manage to loot a ring in like the 6th or 7th round - though I think it was Permafrost.0 -
Eldorhaan✭✭✭IMO the BOPickup is so stupid especially in dungeon, causing the effect to go in dungeon only for farming your stuff and not to make money... The monster set are understandable but the rest of loot should be BOE to encourage the economy and make set affordable for casual player.0 -
Junipus✭✭✭✭✭Normal Maelstrom now drops CP160 gear, but in blue. It can be farmed reasonably quickly if you're a semi-capable player.
Vet Maelstrom does occasionally drop rings, but from my experience it's towards the end chests and never in arcane. However, since you can now get CP160 gear from normal mode putting them as BoE would flood the market and cause the price of all but the purple rings to plummet to levels of current RotW drops.The Legendary Nothing0 -
