Fishing post Holiday

As I aquire all of these guts from farming for skulls it has me thinking; is there anything to be gained from fishing other than the achievements? Do have any good stories from fishing, any unexpected loot, share your experiences.

Perfect Roe... extremly rare, get 1 for ever 200 to 300 fish some people have better rates, Sells for a lot of money, need it for the psijic ambrosia recipe, you can sell those for 3k a pop if you got alchemy capped, you get 4 potions per ambrosia. So their is money to be made

I got "rich" while doing the Master Angler achievement. Got 90 perfect roe in the process, made 360 Psijic Ambrosia out of them, sold 260 for 3k each.
For me who had like 50k gold in total, that amount of gold was a lot!

The only thing I've noticed about fishing is people seem to get a bit weird when you do it! I've had people jump in the middle of the fishing hole and stare at me, kneel in it like they're praying to the fish, use chair sit and just watch me, it's odd. Never had anyone run circles around me when I've been doing anything else, dunno what it is about fishing that brings that out in people!
But other than the achievement, the only benefit is the chance to get Perfect Roe which goes for upwards of 10k. But it'll only drop about 1 time in 100 so you'll probably pay that for the bait you'll need to catch enough
