@Wrobel and co.

It's an absolute joke, the proc sets and poisons are ridiculously overpowered and overused.

What was once a combat system designed around resource management, facing a trade off between damage & recovery and using your skill, experience & intelligence to time your burst and select your targets: is now one that is purely based around RNG and that multiple procs happen at once.

Does your skwad seriously think that's a good direction for PvP to go in? If so, then you guys either clearly don't PvP regularly or you do and you're trying to give your zerg a false advantage rather than getting 1vXd, day after day. Because that's all this is doing, catering to noobs.

Why are you catering to noobs, Wrobel and co., why?

I am not sure you have played the game long. I used to wear seducer and warlock. I never ever ran out of magic... ever. Because there were soft caps I hit like a truck. I could transfer this gear from my DK to my Templar to my sorc. Then it was martial knowledge and cyrodil light. I hit harder then than I do now... on all my toons. Proc sets are not the issue it getting mowed down by 20 people imo.
Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

Proc sets allow people who never used to be able to beat you, actually beat you. That's an issue. But yeah, zergs suck too.

There was like 2 or 3 of us at a resource... AD decided to bring a few for a well balanced, small scale fight as usual

It's almost as if you built around sustain or something :smirk:

Soft caps had nothing to do with it. They were there to not let your damage spiral out of control. Not the opposite.

No you don't. You weren't killing anyone in under a second unless you were a snipe gank build stacking damage modifiers. What you remember is that most abilities that did damage did actual damage. Your lower damaging abilities weren't left in the dust because of battle spirit while your higher damaging abilities scaled incredibly high due to CP and the ability to stack damage past previously unobtainable levels. Abilities back then just did the damage they were supposed to do.

Both are problems, but you can't fix the latter one.

I've been playing for over a year albeit I was inexperienced back then. Regardless, I'm not talking about the past, I'm talking about the current state.

The likes of Seducer and Cyrodiil Light aren't proc sets. Sets like Lich and Warlock whilst being procs, still require a thought process in a fight and only directly assist resource management whilst you still face a slight burst DPS trade off. I haven't knowingly come across anyone wearing Martial but I'd imagine it would still require intelligence to identify the proc and adjust your rotations.

The procs of today hit so hard and so frequent that as Alucardo said, completely change the dynamics of the fight.

I fought a StamNB a week ago on my MagDK and wrecked him twice both within like 15 seconds. He came back and changed his gear to include poisons, Veli and Viper (not sure on his 5pc) and I ended up losing the next three fights without him even changing his rotation because the additional free burst was too much to deal with. He probably lost ~750 PvP tooltip damage but gained ~10k actual proc damage.

Yeah, it was a smart move by him to change it so he could beat me but it just highlights how much impact these have.

I breifly tested Infernal Guardian. It works pretty well on a mag sorc for dps while using shields but it felt kinda dirty using it as it shoots through walls, will target and hit cloaked nightblades it just didn't feel right I took it off

The only proc set I use now is Engine Guardian. I switch between it and a non-proc set for more max Magicka

It's pretty sad to see Cyrodiil with all these Stam folks all running the same thing..it's so sad. Build diversity is dead..those procs are so good there is nothing better to use.

Then on the opposite side of the spectrum you have the unkillable vampire reactive/black rose/Malabeth S&B healtankplar. These are equally as bad as the cheesy proc builds just on the opposite side of the spectrum.

Both damage from procs and healing/damage reduction and heavy armor is simply off the charts. Major Evasion is also too good...20% might as well be 100% I counted tonight made marks on a notepad out of 385 frag procs I shot at shuffle users only 22 land, rest just flew off to the side...if its bad RNG then I have bad RNG every night because 8 out of 10 of my frag procs are always dodged by shuffle...I even had shuffle dodge a frag the other day from horseback lol!

Shuffle needs to be a 6 second buff just like shields. Shield have their value cut in half and a 6 sec duration. 20 secs of 20% free dodges is simply OP in a game with an active dodge mechanic

Pvp is a huge mess right now and proc sets are just a small but important part of it
