Blackheart Haven - Captain Blackheart last boss

I'm in need of advice for the Captain final boss.

1. After a tank is converted into skeleton, is it better for him to run after the boss and maul him or rather he should maul the ads instead? Without tanking abilities he seems useless as tank so I guess the ads, but not sure. Being a skeleton gives us any special damage od else, or it's just "maul everything in range and stay alive"?

2. Also if a healer is converted into skeleton, what should he and both DD do? Run away from boss trying to kill ads in the meantime, or maybe stay close after tank to be shielded by his abilities for the skeleton period? Especially it bothers me when I have archer players without proper self-sustain, who usually suffer a lot without haling and their dps isn't best.

3. What is general tactic for this boss in veteran dungeon? If it differs much from normal mode.
I did so far a normal mode with some trouble, but need the jewellery for Knight-Errant's Mail set so have to do it soon :).

4. Is there any way to abort this skeleton converting phase of the boss? Block, roll dodge, bash etc?

There is some tactic on Wiki but I'm not sure if that's enough for Vet.:
Boss Mechanics:
•6 Skeleton ads which includes archers
•360 degree slash attack that is very quick but does little damage
•The tank gets pulled to the Boss and converted into a skeleton at some point during the fight. Tank loses all ability to fight during that phase.
Strategy:
•Kill all the ads, prioritise the archers to avoid being overwhelmed
•Tank should keep the boss aggro'd as long as possible before he gets converted into a skeleton

That's fine, if you have a DK use chains to stack the archers on the boss and aggregate DPS. As a skeleton you do a lot of damage with your normal attacks to other skeletons so you should focus on other skeletons regardless of what your role is.

If the healer is a skeleton the dps need to fend for their own health bars. This shouldn't be a problem if the tank is taunting many of the skeletons and the dps is dealing with some of them. DPS have self-heal mechanics they can utilize including potions.

Like most bosses in this game dps is your core issue. If the boss fight is very hard it is because D over the S isn't a large enough number.

If you are finding this boss overly difficult I do have a suggestion. Pull the boss over to the rock along the shore line, fighting Captain Blackheart at this spot will force the skeletons to run over to this point and make them more manageable. Captain Blackheart alone doesn't do much damage and is easily handled so long as the adds are taken care of.

I havent done it on vet but you could also try basically the same trick and pull him all the way up the hill towards where you came in. Then the skellies have to come up the hill to you. Now they wont come all the way up but it still makes them move in where they are easier to reach.

But like i said i havent tried it vet. But this is what we use to do in normal before we had the dps just to run him over.

If you have a magicka DD you could have him slot a heal for the group to save everyone in a pinch in the event that the healer gets nailed.

You can't pull the Boss up the ramp anymore, he will reset when you try that. Otherwise it's just the same fight: keep the adds at bay, go into hiding when you are turned into a skeleton (up the ramp)
