Does it only apply the first time you drink the witchmother brew, or for the whole period of the witches festival?

Lasts 2 hours, blow the whistle again and it refreshses.

Check your character sheet buffs, it says on there.

I believe it works until the end of the witches festival.

The effect is identical to the cake back in April. Just like the cake, the flute will stay as memento, but won't cause the XP boost after November 1 when the festival ends.

You can certainly stack it with an XP scroll. I'd imagine Psjiic would work too.

Stacks with:

- Psijic Ambrosia
- XP Scroll
- Ring of Mara
- Group buff

Which means a potential for almost 200% buff to your base XP.

If you're power leveling or grinding, sticking a full set of 7 training armour on gives an additional 35%.

If you have enlightenment then it'll give you CP even faster.

Got 11k XP from killing 3 skeletons in Glenumbra with only the Witches brew and Enlightenment as my buffs.

One would imagine that you could get up to 5k XP from killing a single enemy.

Actually enlightenment doesn't boost your gained XP that goes towards leveling and skill increase. It only works as a 4x multiplier for the contribution towards earning CP on a veteran level character. So the gains shown on screen are a bit misleading.

Quite right, but if you have enlightenment then you're gaining CP which are affected by all the aforementioned buffs.

Even on a lowbie with all the available buffs you'd be looking at a 205% increase in XP gained, effectively cutting 2/3rd off your overall grind/leveling time.

And actually leveling up 1-50 is maybe ~25% of the work required building a strong character. The rest is getting enough skill points to fill the skills and passives and the faction reputation required to advance the skill lines not affected by XP. With or without the multiplier from different bonuses: ambrosia, scroll, cake/brew, training gear it's still very easy to level a character 1-50. But he will be very weak with just the 64 skill points from leveling.

Therein lies the brilliance of 1T changes, especially with the XP boost. Not to mention being able to do it in an afternoon rather than a day/half day

You could grind one spot now from 3 to 50, or you can go to each dolmen, delve and group delve in every zone and always get the same XP without being over-leveled. Alternatively you can do each of the new guild dailies to get your XP up. I'm on mages guild 5 and haven't gotten any books outside of Glenumbra or done any quests. I'm on undaunted 2 without doing anything more than the Glenumbra delves.

If you're power leveling it's entirely possible to get from 1-50 with only the skill points from leveling by planning in advance e.g. one ability from each class skill, 2 from your off-bar and one from your main bar on your actual main bar along with 1-2 pieces of your non primary armour type will allow you to get them all leveled not long after 50. Combined with the new dailies I'm fully expecting my new lowbie to be maxed on everything important by the time the festival ends.
