Bug - Biting Jabs animation becomes the weapon

As you can see from the picture below... very often (maybe 5 or 6 times out of 10) the biting jabs animation becomes my weapon. In this case a two handed sword, even happens on my bow. Then when I charge a full heavy attack on my bow, it twirls the spear around and looks absolutely ridiculous!
Looting from an enemy seems to bring back the regular weapon animation.
