What happened to Doshia?

I went in at launch being a scrub DK tank with absolutely no knowledge of mechanics, sustainability, set piece bonuses, etc. When I finally beat her the fight lasted twenty minutes and my hands hurt so bad afterwards.

I miss the good ol' days...

I shudder to think what you will make of MB if you fought him back at launch Lol :p

The last of my chars that went through the MB fight was my Naked Nord, maybe about a year ago or so.
As you may have guessed from his name, he was butt naked.

I kept the screenshots just in case i need to blackmail MB one of these days.
The press would have a field day with those images ...

She was nerfed. As she should have been.

Yeah, it's trendy to pretend she wasn't OTT at release, but let's not kid ourselves in our rush to look like badasses.

This is why we can't have nice things.
She was a challenge, not impossible. Now I run into overland trash mobs that are tougher. I can't remember the last time she even lived long enough to transform fully. It isn't about being badass, it's about having more of a challenge than a huge "I Win!" Button.

Horsehockey. Doshia's difficulty at launch was based largely around whether you chose EP or another alliance and whether your class/weapon choices gave you a good AOE by level 6. If you chose correctly, you were up against an good challenge. If you chose incorrectly, you were up against an infuriating, thoroughly not-fun bit of bad game design.

Did they go too far? Sure, I'll concede that. ZOS doesn't exactly have a strong talent for nuanced changes. But it's aimed at pre-level-10s, for crying out loud. Noobs who have not a clue how to play the game yet should not have to deal with thing YOU find challenging. That's just bad design.

She almost made me quit the game... I finally beat her at like level 13. And there was a WHOLE LOT of tries each level (I think she was a level 8?). So yeah... a nerf was in order.. but they may have swung too hard.
