Blocking vs Mist Form

So I've been experimenting with tanking mechanics and realized mist is an amazing alternative to blocking.
-Blocking reduces damage by roughly 50%, mist form reduces by 75%.
-Blocking has a cool down and drains stamina, mist can take unlimited hits.
-Stam regens while in mist but not magicka, vice versa for mist. If you alternate you can keep both resource pools filling without dropping your guard.
-Multiple hits are all reduced by mist
-CC immunity and either speed boost or aoe dot that triggers procs.
-Blocking reduces damage by roughly 50%, mist form reduces by 75%.
-Blocking has a cool down and drains stamina, mist can take unlimited hits.

✭You can also stack bone shield or any other shield spell with mist but switching bars or blocking will break mist.0 -

Nope so do i and yes to the thread starter - mist form is great for the other-block-option.
Also, one key fun fact, block or dodge will pull you out before the 3 sec is up. so you can pop mist for just their big hit, block and strike without waiting 3s. So that no-heal thing is only for the brief time.
I usually stick with elusive mist cuz the maneuver helps.

✭I have found that mist form is actually the better alternative to blocking when a meteor circle appears on you because you can't take an unblockable cc to be hit for the full damage.
I'm currently in the process of training my reaction to meteor away from blocking and toward casting mist form.The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?4 -

✭I rotate mist form into the mix usually after a cc break immunity is nearly up just to regen stamina. Also, I absolutely love most form plus Storm Knights plate"Stendarr's mercy be upon you, for the vigil has none to spare."0
