Cradle of Shadows invisible boss attack

On the Boss Dranos Velador in Cradle of Shadows (vet at least) when the boss uses Fangs of Mephala to lock someone down, and the adds are interrupted, sometimes the boss will be staggered or jump to another target, before the attack landed, and after this has happened, the attack will still go off, doing full damage, with no warning, to the original target. This happened several times during the fight.

This has been happening for some time now. As a tank I just keep block up expecting the attack regardless of the animation not being visible and the boss not being nearby. Shouldn't be this way of course..

I notice that when I interrupt that boss he goes skating on the ground for a few meters, in a totally random direction. And he has to be interrupted, because the attack is one shot even while blocking.

How many hp's do you have? While blocking I have yet to be one shot by Dranos on that attack.

I didn't say it was completely one shot. It actually takes about ~60-70% of my max HP so I have to be careful with the interrupts and be full health before I block him. My buffed stats are 13.5K magicka | 26.6K health | 32.7K stamina.
