Stam Sorc Build

So I now have a StamSorc and I need a little help with the build for PvE.

I want a build that can run maelstrom but with all the sets that are available I'm not sure what sets I should be using together to be the most effective?

Any one want to point me in a good direction ?

Im Running 5 pc Vicious Serpent , 5 pc TBC or Hundings Rage or NMG ( all 3 will work for vMA)
and then u can either use velidreth set OR maelstrom weapons

i also recommend to craft some crit increase, max health, max Stamina pots.
get 50 in Alchemist and get the passive for 30% more Duration on pots.

i always use these pots at the harder bosses in there, as they buff my damage and give me more ressources and can also heal in emergency.

In your first run you will die probably 100+ times.
DONT get enraged and smash things against a wall. Everybody must go trough it once.

Just take it relaxed and dont waste 10 hours on it without breaks.

Play like 1-2h and make 1h break, then go for another try.

Rome wasnt build in 1 day either lol.

If u got max CP i would go with 5 pc VS and 5 pc TBC.

I have completed Vmsa with my magic nightblade but never on a stam character.

I'm hoping it won't be like the first time on my NB!

I think I will craft some Tbs and set up with vicious serpent!

I have maelstrom weapons but do you think I would be better off going two crafted sharpened weapons? -: I have 1 sharpened dagger and two nirnhoned ones ?

If your Daggers are MA Daggers you should definately use them! lol
YOU CAN use crafted ones, BUT u will lose alot damage, trust me :-)


Take 1 Nirnhoned on your main Hand, the sharpened dagger on your other Hand
back bar bow

Abilities: DW: - Vigor / Rearming Trap / rapid Strikes / bloodstrike?** / bound armaments Ultimate: Dawnbreaker of Smiting***

** = 1st ability of DW skill line. for beginning i morphed it to the healing one. as a good Stamina player u can Morph it to the more dmg based one.

***=i prefer this Morph of the Dawnbreaker for vMA for beginners, as the direct damage you pull out with this is much higher.
and the real awesome Thing about it is: You Stun enemies for 3 IMPORTANT SECONDS.
The dawnbreaker DoT can be also empowered by using rapid strikes with Maelstrom weapons, never Forget that :-)


Bow bar: - Poison Inj. / Endless Hail / Hurricane / Critical Surge / Bound Armaments ult: Energy everload

Overload Bar: - Vigor / Streak / Razor Caltrops / dark deal / bound armaments

I use Overload bar mainly just to put caltrops on ground, as i dont have any space on my 2 main bars.
also between rounds i can just refill my Stamina with dark deal, 3x dark deal = 15k Stamina back lol easy regen ;-)

Important as a Stamina char will be: do not put all your dots on 1 Monsters, try to spread them all over the area.

for example, Arena 3

u got always 3 spawn Points , always the same ones.

caltrops endless hail + rearming trap ong round. (finishes first mob, with even attacking it.)

2nd mob: heavy bow attack + poison inj. (will kill mob )

3rd add, light attack bow with poison inj - rest with dw attacks ;-)
