Has anyone else tried this? I was fooling around with my build last night and started using this. The results were fantastic. Not only does the damage stack but so do the animations! Really cool looking stuff.

    Maybe? I've found it to be a great counter to those pesky heavy armor stamina builds.

    Oh, you want to gap close and smash me with an axe? Here is a blue beam to the face. Enjoy wasting all your stamina trying to block it!

    I've found in this game sometimes the best counters to new builds is to just go old school.

    You're thinking of soul tether, the OP said Soul Shatter which is the morph of Soul Assault in the World Skill line.

    Sounds fun lol, mighty try it for giggles. You should craft the set that increases the damage from that skill line lol, now that'd be fun.

    Make sure to cast deto and curse on your target and time them so they both explode 1-2 sec after you start beaming >:)

    It's fun until they l2p and bash you.

    As for me, my body and my soul were trained in the Radiant meta, so I unconsciously bash everything that produces a beam.

    I'm on XBox but I've heard rumors that you can no longer bash off Soul ultimates in One Tamriel. Reading that here gave me this idea.

    And to the other poster, Oblivions Foe for 120K Soul Assault or 90K Shatter Soul sounds glorious. Well for me. Probably not for the person I'm melting with it or the 5 people next to them who die from the VD proc!

    Shatter Soul, not Soul Tether. Also not to be confused with Soul Shatter.

    You can't bash Soul Strike or any of it's morphs.

    run it with Soulshine set for extra damage (and you could even where Cyro Light for that added protection...but that would mean no VD so maybe not then)

    I absolutely have been using this. MagDK agronian. Shatter Soul and Soul Shatter, Vicious Death and Phoenix. 35 into Health to boost the explosion at the suggestion of @Vaoh

    Super-fun at breaking up zergbomb balls but not as good as my best build for that. Fun, though.

    [ edit ] The idea being there's 2 explosions when an opponent dies, and 2 when I "die" with phoenix.

    Having Immortal Warrior to swap during the 20 minute cooldown on Phoenix helps.

    Lvl 50 EP Redguard Stam DK PvE (updating)
    Lvl 50 EP Dark Elf Mag DK PvP

    All my builds are outdated...I quit for a year lmao

    That set actually only effects soul trap, not the ult. Rather disappointing, really.

    But a VERY good thing.

    The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?
