Hey everyone! Missbizz here and figured I'd share a guide a buddy wrote and put up on Reddit (You can find the Reddit post HERE). Applaud @Applinator ! The google docs link of the guide can be found here.
There's a lot of new players around that don't even know what a tank is, or what a DPS should be doing. This guide is hoping to help with that! He goes over what each role should be doing during a fight, basic do's and don'ts, and even some example skills you should consider using or working towards! Not only does he cover what your job is, he also goes over some terms that people know to MMO's may not know (like what DPS is, or CC, or even AoE!)
Keep in mind this is set at beginner's, so some veteran players may think some of the info is a bit off.. but remember, this is to get someone started, this isn't teaching someone more advanced techniques. KISS! Keep it simple... *ehem*.

Skills
The first thing a tank needs is a taunt! You cannot tank without one. It keeps enemies focused on you and stops them chasing your more vulnerable teammates. There are only two taunts in the game; a melee taunt and a ranged taunt. Both of these are single target so for large pulls you can gain initial agro by using an area-of-effect skill and then pick out the most dangerous ones to taunt.
