Best setup for DPS StamNB Pre trial gear

Just been getting a lot of conflicting messages. Right now im running 5NM 2 Hunding 3 Agi and CoAII moster helm/shoulders.

Im currently cp 200.

Im struggling to break that 10k dps.

Any suggestions?


Bar Set up is.
1(2 daggers) SA(Main Ability), Assassinate, Blade Cloak, Rearming Trap, Steel Tornado
2(Bow) Poison Injection, Endless Hail, Caltrops, Siphoning attacks, Relentless Focus

Any help would be great

Not a bad set up, for slightly better damage I would recommend getting the Leviathan set from CoH and running 5x of that (jewelry and 2 armor pieces) and 5x NMG (4 when on bow bar). I would also recommend swapping to Kra'gh over Skoria.

Other than that it's all about rotation.
- are you getting in a light attack with each skills use (aside for a few when you bar swap or animation cancel)
- certain skills (such as endless hail) can be animation canceled to save some time as well.
- are you keeping your major buffs up (always major brutality, for an additional 5-10% damage boost you can also either run potions or slot Expert Hunter for Major savagery)

With CP 200 and a set up like the above, I would imagine you could hit 16-19k DPS on a good day with self buffs.

I'm running a similar spec to the OP and also wondering about my DPS. Glad you mentioned Leviathan as I decided to farm it last night on the basis it looked like it would give me more than Hundings.

Quick question, if I slot Expert Hunter on bar 2, does it still grant Major Savagery when I switch to bar 1?

If possible try to swap out agility for 3 alkosh or 3 Vicious Ophidian. VO outperforms agility at the moment.

It does not, but with most of your DPS being on bar 1 it is probably sufficient to just have it purely on your bar 1 (though definitely slot on both if you can)

This is true, but OP was asking for pre-trial gear.

Yes ok, that is what I thought. Think I'll ditch Relentless Focus from Bar 2, move Re-Arming Trap to Bar 2, then put Expert Hunter on Bar 1. I can then refresh Re-Arming Trap when I refresh my other DOTS from Bar 2.

OK, one more question...

Shadow or Thief stone? Without yet running Leviathan, I have 86% crit with the Thief stone. So I'm thinking I can now swap to Shadow, lose a bit of crit chance but hit harder when I do crit, especially with the added crit chance from Leviathan.

Is this reasonable?

It's my understanding that Shadow is going to be best if you can hit 65-70% crit at least without Thief.

Leviathan dropped my crit by 3% as opposed to wearing 5 Toothrow and 5 NMG.

I swapped to Shadow boon as I have 73% crit with no stone at all.
