Should consoles get a new interface?

With so many items in the game, i feel it would really help if the design of the menu was different. I hate having to scroll down until i find my item that i want. Why cant we have tabs, a better layout for going thru our bag or armor and such.

Should they update the design of the interface or no.

They need to 5S the interface, nothing should be more than 3 drop downs deep, nothing (except the main menu and inventory) should have more options than can fit on the screen, we need more key binds (example we have 4 directions on the touchpad/vita that are completely wasted atm), and we need assignable hotkeys in the menu to help us get to most often accessed menus.

Yes, the UI could use a revamp console versions have had the same ui since launch and it's getting a bit dated, as mentioned Oblivion had the best menu system of the last 3 TES games, everything from weapon stats, quest progress, active effects etc could be seen at a glance.

I would like something similar to the inventory grid addon added to the game, buff/debuff timers onscreen (with optional toggle), tabs and perhaps user defined filter tabs as well

Maybe, it depends.

Let us remap our controllers buttons, but otherwise as far as an MMO on console, the interface in this game is pretty great.

some cross-platform games perform worse on pc than on consoles.

They also need to get rid of that block of text on the right hand side of all NPC conversations.
I still can't fathom why this was designed for the PS4 version, its the most intrusive, ugly and off-putting interface I've ever seen and does nothing for immersion.
The black blocked off background that splits the screen almost in half is totally in your face and not only do I stop listening to/looking at the characters because it's so distracting, but I don't even bother to read the text...

FFXIV had the best mmo console interface hands down, not that it takes anything away from ESO's which is very good in its own but FF u could resize, add or remove and move everything to ur liking. An incredible interface for a mmo on console and light yrs past ESO imo. Options and accessibility is key.

G yes a huge change would be welcomed after all the additions since launch.

I still question why both PC and console don't have a redesigned logical UI.
Regardless of a mouse or controller and regardless of add-ons just let ppl have customizable options for all UI elements if nothing else.

-resizing
-moving
-adjustments for pop-up
-and map edits

*consoles*
-all these categories you have to go in and out of, it's just time waisting
-re-positioning is desired
-changing the UI overall size and scale
-adjusting certain things by size and not others with sliders is desired
-color adjustments too
-transparency or partial translucency is desired in different ui aspects too

This should all be in settings that when chosen, it pulls up a UI with all sampled ppl-ups to adjust

Some of us can not afford a PC so we are stuck with console, lucky you!
