Hircine's Gift - Werebeasts beyond just Werewolves.

I had a discussion in one of my guilds last night. I mentioned how one of my characters was heavily bear themed with the cub pet and bear mount.

I thought it was a shame that Hircine's gift is limited only to werewolves. A wolf may not be the animal that a particular character resonates with. Could Hircine's gift be broadened to include transformation into other animals like bears and large cats etc. I have seen some NPCs use magic to transform into other characters. One Argonian even changed to a crocodile.

I may not have ESO lore on my side. I am not sure that any other werebeasts exist besides werewolves but I wonder what others think about it.

Yes - Other creatures constrained or related to the race of a character should be available e.g. Argonian to crocodile.

I had a guild member in a state of much laughter when he proposed being able to transform into a tiger.

I said: "But what if you are a Khajiit?"

"This one sees that you have Hircine's gift and can become weretiger."
"This one is not sure of advantage of changing from cat person to slightly different cat person."
"This one thinks is was waste of skill points...yes?"

It definitely doesn't break lore, but I wouldn't hold your breath. There hasn't been a playable were-creature other than werewolves in an Elder Scrolls game since Daggerfall (released in 1996).

The idea of an Argonian werewolf seems weird. Transforming from Reptile to Mammal.

Yes - Other beasts besides wolves should be available through Hircine's gift.

Even if it is 100 percent only cosmetic, would LOVE to be a werecroc form..reasons.
