Vigilant's of Stendarr, for ESO, think about it, it would be great to get a chance to be some real "good guys" in ESO.

If ZOS made it so you could actually be a member of the Vigilant's of Stendarr, we would have tons of great stuff to battle already in game, Deadra, vampires, etc.

Am I alone, or would this be an awesome skill line to get into?

I'd like it, but only as a mutually exclusive skill line to Vampire and Werewolf. (as an aside I'd love if there were quests related to Werewolf and Vampire skill lines as well)
    US/AD - Dodge Hopper - Vet Imperial Templar | US/AD - Goj-ei-Raj - Vet Argonian Nightblade
    US/AD - Arondonimo - Vet Altmer Sorcerer | US/AD - Azumarax - Vet Dunmer Dragon Knight
    US/AD - Barkan al-Sheharesh - Vet Redguard Dragon Knight | US/AD - Aelus Vortavoriil - Vet Altmer Templar
    US/AD - Shirari Qa'Dar - Vet Khajiit Nightblade | US/AD - Ndvari Mzunchvolenthumz - Vet Bosmer Nightblade
US/EP - Yngmar - Vet Nord Dragon Knight | US/EP - Reloth Ur Fyr - Vet Dunmer Sorcerer
    US/DC - Muiredeach - Vet Breton Sorcerer | US/DC - Nachtrabe - Vet Orc Nightblade
    EU/DC - Dragol gro-Unglak - Vet Orc Dragon Knight | EU/DC - Targan al-Barkan - Vet Redguard Templar
    EU/DC - Wuthmir - Vet Nord Sorcerer | EU/DC - Kosh Ragotoro - Vet Khajiit Nightblade
    <And plenty more>

Am I missing something or is the fighters guild build around fighting daedra, vamps, undead...
    Most likely will not happen.

The Vigilants of Stendarr are a militant order in the priesthood of Stendarr, the Divine of Mercy. It was founded after the Oblivion Crisis to combat the Daedric influence.

The Oblivion Crisis takes place in the game Oblivion, which is during the end of the Third Era. Elder Scrolls Online takes place in the Second Era.

AHH, very sorry, Thanks for the info! I didn't realize it took place at the end of the third Era.
Oh well, I thought it would have been really cool to give us a chance at being a good guy ;) , too bad, could have been a lot of fun.

They could add an alternative to the existing cult of Akatosh. Someone said there are some plans, but I'm not sure if it was said officialy, or if that was a guess from an end of quest line.

The only possibility would be "The Knights of the Divines". An order dedicated to the 8 Divines that: (with moderation can be found at http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Ten_Commands:_Nine_Divines)
    - Be kind and generous to the people of Tamriel. Protect the weak, heal the sick, and give to the needy.
    - Honor the earth, its creatures, and the spirits, living and dead. Guard and tend the bounties of the mortal world, and do not profane the spirits of the dead.
    - Live soberly and peacefully. Honor your parents, and preserve the peace and security of home and family.
    - Work hard, and you will be rewarded. Spend wisely, and you will be comfortable. Never steal, or you will be punished.
    - Use Nature's gifts wisely. Respect her power, and fear her fury.
    - Open your heart to the noble secrets of art and love. Treasure the gifts of friendship. Seek joy and inspiration in the mysteries of love.
    - Know the truth. Observe the law. When in doubt, seek wisdom from the wise.
    - Serve and obey your Leader, be they King, Queen or Emperor. Study the Covenants. Worship the Eight, do your duty, and heed the commands of the saints and priests.
    - Above all else, be good to one another.

These "Knights" can come from any race as long as they adhere to the will of the Divines and possess the qualities and traits set out by the Divines.

If only each man might look into the mirror of these Commands, and see reflected there the bliss that might enfold them, were he to serve in strict obedience to these Commands, he would be cast down and made contrite and humble. The obedient man may come to the altars of the Eight and be blessed, and may receive the comfort and healing of the Eight, and may give thanks for his manifold blessings.

Heedless, the wicked man turns away, and forsaking the simple wisdom's granted to him by the All-Wise and All-Knowing Eight, he lives in sin and ignorance all the days of his life. He bears the awful burden of his crimes, and before Men and God his wickedness is known, and neither blessing nor comfort may he expect from the altars and shrines of the Eight.

Yet the wicked and foolish are not doomed, for in their infinite mercies, the Eight have said, "Repent, and do Good Works, and the Fountains of Grace shall once more spill forth upon you."

Repent your crimes! Tender unto the Leader, be they King, Queen or Emperor, the fines of gold, that they may be used to spread the Faith and its Benefits to all Men!

Do yourself good works! Redeem your infamy by shining deeds! Show to all Men and the Eight the good Fame of the Righteous Man, and you may once again approach the altars and shrines of the Chapel to receive the comfort and blessings of the Eight.
