Why did the patch NOT fix the Cyrodiil grouping bug?

Where is it? I think the PvP community has been fairly patient here. We have been biding our time collecting gear and dueling while we wait for the next maintenance knowing that there was a fix ready and even the forums have been relatively calm in the face of such a damaging bug. Please give us an answer @ZOS_BrianWheeler or somebody. We just want an ETA. The longer this goes on the more worried this community will get that you don't actually have a solid fix and this will take months to repair. The longer this goes on the more and more the PvP community and the guilds and groups large and small that play in it will feel more and more neglected. This bug stands out from every other bug and exploit in this games history because it prevents the fundamental mechanic of grouping. It will actually kill PvP if it does not get addressed fast.

This is just solidifies the argument that PvP does not matter. If this were a problem in 12 man trial groups it would be hotfixed immediately. But I think we all knew that was the case.

Agreed. If only PvP and its community was a higher priority to ZOS.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Thank you for the quick response. I suppose this as close to a ETA as we will get.


Edit: I would add that this is not going to ease the fears of the PvP community that this bug won't be fully fixed anytime soon. It continues to encourage distrust between devs and the PvP community. I'm sure you guys are working hard but witout a solid ETA and some confidence from ZOS that this bug can and will be fixed you are not going to ease anyone's concerns.

All weekend I have been sticking up for ZOS and telling people, "dont worry, they will have it fixed by Monday, just hold out till then". And look what happens.... ZOS does NOTHING about the GAME BREAKING BUG!!!! I don't know if you know this ZOS, but it's really not a good idea to *** off the biggest PvP guilds and some of the smaller ones in the game. We bring a LOT of business and money your way because of our massive guilds, and this is how you repay us? By taking away the main thing we do? Frankly I am disgusted. Every day this is not fixed more and more people are going to get pissed off at you and not want to play. And when you have guilds that run 1+ raids for 8 hours EVERY night not even wanting to play anymore? Then you have a huge problem. Myself and many other leaders of Pact Militia along with MANY guild leaders from all 3 factions are completely dissatisfied with how zos is treating us. You guys really need to get your programers butts in gear and get this thing fixed. That's their JOB after all!

Relax Francis. Go gather more new sets, come back in a day or 2 and it will be fixed. Besides, today is Columbus Day. Schools are off across the country and that means taking care of kids. Along with some business' being closed. Idk how that is with ZoS? But I can imagine it isn't a full crew today.

Also, it seems when using the random dungeon finder, if you successfully que for a group but you drop, it locks you out from using the dungeon finder again till you log off your character and log back in.

Could be a related issue or something in that issue could be impacting the pvp grouping?

Just so you know, we now all wind up in one place because no one wants to transit. I don't want to be on one resource for an hour, but I don't have a choice. As soon as people see there is a fight they show up as well. They want to get to a fight and stay there. Before long you have a faction stacked at a resource. lol

lol 6 ppl a zerg? If you were in cyrodiil the days of Wabba and Thornblade, then you would truely know what zergs are. 6 ppl is just a small group.

All jokes aside though, I share Crow's sentiment in many ways. This update has been generally quite good in regards to PvE, and dueling is fun, but it has made an absolute mess of PvP and it does feel like the PvP crowd are second class citizens in this particular case.

Besides the grouping bug (which is bad enough all by itself), I have noticed extremely long load screens (more than the usual) with every single transit/respawn/etc. and then there is the lovely feature of keeps, gates and scroll temples not having walls or floors. Those stairways to nowhere and the floating crates are just a marvel, though. Of course, when this particular bug is happening, you have no keeps, scrolls, scroll temples and no transitus on the map either. Kind of hard to defend a scroll like that or take back a keep. Add to it the continuous re-logging required to get out of the endless load screens of death and its just not worth the effort.

I appreciate the updates posted here, but the delay has been excruciating. I mean...I watched politics last night...ugh...just ugh...

The ESO RvR PvP content is great and pretty unique in feel. It'll be good to be back in it again.
