Previously, a quest's colour in the journal indicated its level with respect to your level:
- Grey for quests that were more than 5 levels below your level
- Green for quests that were 5-3 levels below your level
- Yellow for quests that were around your level
- Orange for quests that were 4-7 levels above your level
- Red for quests that were 8 levels or more above your level
With One Tamriel, every quest is now equal to your character level. This means that under the current colour system, all quests will show as yellow in the journal.
My proposal is to repurpose the journal colours so that they now indicate the relative difficulty of the quest. Every quest already has a "difficulty" modifier, as this determines the amount of XP and gold you receive as a reward.
We add experience multipliers to quests, usually depending on the time taken and relative difficulty. Those experience multipliers look like this:
- Very Easy = .1
- Easy = .75
- Standard = 1
- Hard = 1.5
- Very Hard = 2.25
So please consider repurposing the journal entries so that they look like this:
- Grey for Very Easy quests
- Green for Easy quests
- Yellow for Standard quests
- Orange for Hard quests
- Red for Very Hard quests
