Missing Guardian Bug

I have gotten to the section in Reinholds Retreat where you have to free somebody and get the thiefs apex stone (the serpent is wrapped around that person up on a huge pedestal) but one of the bad guys is stuck in the air and I can't kill him. The first time through he was stuck in a different place that I could hit but his health would reset as soon as it hit zero. I have worked through the dungeon several times and the guy is stuck in the air in different places each time. Anybody else having issues with this quest?

Yes - nearly 3 months later, but am having that issue too. The first time it bugged out on me I also had the guy in the air. Tried logging out, dying, leaving room - nothing. Then I abandoned, started all over, got back to snake room, died and reincarnated on the spot, room is empty, quest still active. Did you find a solution?

I had to abandon the quest and do it ALL again, Magdaleena black-somehting bugged on me too and i had to re-enter her room several times, then proceed to Hara again and this time everything went fine.
But damn, this quest a bugged af.

Had exact same issue as nick59349b14_ESO and Aelina_Toulene on Xbox One but did NOT have to abandon quest. After entering Star-Gazer Sanctuary a third time (first two times glitched) I slow played all enemies, careful not to kill them too quickly but stayed safe, and ESPECIALLY slow played the Aetherial Stone activations, making absolutely sure the first stone had a chance to activate (and connect its light beam to the pillar above) and waited to the last moment to activate the second stone. I was able to complete the fight successfully. Hope this works for others.

Damn thing still bugged .. FFS ZOS FIX THIS CRAP ALREADY!

I did what @DOMITO suggested concerning the first stone's beam activating before doing the second one .. soloing you can't not do that due to the time it takes to get from one to the other .. not sure what he meant by "waited to the last moment", like what is the cue for doing this?

Took two Abandons and re-starts before it worked and I saw nothing different in my third attempt from the first, except that last time the mob waves carried on spawning whereas the first two times they stopped after the first or second wave and so charging of the orbs stopped.
