Treasure Hunter CP passive not working?

The tooltip states it increase quality of drops from treasure chest.
The ring drop i get is green. Pretty sure this ring does not come in white.
Therefore the CP passive is not working.

The Treasure Hunter CP passive does not guarantee it will increase the quality of drops, it just gives you a chance to get a better quality item. It also won't give you a quality that does not normally drop from that chest (sorry, no gold items for you). I'm not sure of the exact chance but I'd give it a guess of around 25% chance to get a better item. Better than nothing but not great.

Opened a masters chest last night. Maxed out legerman and Cp passive unlocked. Gave me 1 green ring.

Guess just another excuse for Z0$ to hide behind RNG

The question that everyone is then naturally asking, "Then why doesn't the tooltip say "HAS A CHANCE TO INCREASE the quality of items you find in chests" then, instead of a flat "INCREASES the quality of items you find in chests?" There's no RNG involved with "increases the quality of items you find in chests," obviously, because that statement applies all the time. They should either change the tooltip to reflect the in game reality, or indeed 'fix' the broken passive.

Prior to update 12 yes...

The patch notes for 12 though include this..

Treasure Chests gained from defeating a Dark Anchor have a 100% chance to drop a ring or amulet set piece from the zone they are located in.
The above is also true of Unstable Anomalies found in Craglorn.

Treasure chests found in the world have a chance to grant any set piece that can drop in that zone.
Simple chests have a slight chance of dropping an item set piece.
Intermediate chests have a good chance of dropping an item set piece
Advanced and Master chests have a guaranteed chance of dropping an item set piece.

If you have the Treasure Hunter Champion Passive, both the above chances and quality of an item will be improved.

So, does that mean when I get green set pieces, they would have dropped white if I did not have the passive?

It was broken like....forever. And don't worry about that green jewelry drops, soon the market will be polluted with them for low price anyways

I only have one character with this passive, never notice a significant improvement. I don't think it is a large increase.

I don't if it is working, it seems to be, but I will tell what I have found so far.

With the passive, I've been finding
--purple set piece in Advanced and Master chests,
--blue set piece in Intermediate chests, and
--green set piece in Simple chests.

Odd thing is that in Grahtwood, this happened with every chest, but in Craglorn and Bangkorai, this 100% rate did not occur. I will keep looking there and other places.

That said, I have not tried opening chests without the passive, so I don't know what that's like.

1 item. He got 2 items in the chest - so the improved item was probably the necklace.

It seems to be working for me. I've found a handful of purple rings in Dolmen chests.

Many, many times I have gotten only one green item, along with gold sometimes soul gem and white enchant. So what is improved in that case?

Perhaps it's just a chance for the quality to be improved as well then, and therefore just a poorly written tooltip. Or maybe it's just broken. Without seeing the coding ourselves, who knows? Lol.

Ya correct the tooltip or correct the passive please. Confusion is all we have now
