Why no one handed fighting skill line?

So been playing this game for a while and always wondered why there is no one handed skill line. Now be for I get to far into this lets get a few things out of the way.

1.) You gimp yourself for not using an off hand. You do that when using any 2 handed item.

2.) Is this a RP thing? No its a extra way to play the game.

3.) There is a skill line coming with _________. So its not one handed fighting.

The points above are all things I have heard ingame when I asked why it is not here. In most great stories most of the people in them used a one handed sword most of the time from the Grey Mouser in Thieves World to Conan. And no Conan did not use a 2 handed he used a basterd sword which is considered a hand and a half so it could be used ether way.

I know alot about one handed fighting being some one who learned fencing, rapier, and long sword fighting growing up along with many other weapon fighting styles. Most would do martial arts I did that. So it has advantages to dual wield and sword and shield/buckler fighting like more control to one weapon then using 2 or having a disk or heavier object on your arm. It does allow you to be more mobile as well. But we are talking a game that has sets and such right so why add this. Well there is alot of things it could do passive and active to help a player use it like.

Active Skills

1.) Wide Swing = Hits all enemy's in a 90 Degree arc doing X dmg to target and 25% to all others hit max of 5 targets. Much like the two handed attack.

2.) Thrust = Does x dmg and lowers armor by x for 8 sec. Much like the sword and shield attack that taunts but minus that.

3.) Leap Attack = Leap at target doing x dmg gap closer. if in stealth do +25% extra dmg.

4.) Parry = Blocks attack stunning enemy for 6 sec. Opens target to power attack knock down.

5.) Deflecting Attack = Block enemy attack reflecting -75% of dmg back to target. More of a block attack to attack move.

Ultimate - Sword Flury = Hit target 4 times doing x dmg and going up to x dmg last hit unblockable.

Passive

1.) Deflection = Blocking uses less stam -3% to a max of -5% less. Meaning you have a greater control in deflecting attacks.

2.) Stable Control = Your skills in stam and magicka use 1% to a max of 3% less to activate.

3.) Balance = You are harder to sun or throw off balance from power attacks.

4.) Precise Strikes = increases you crit with stam and magicka based skills by 1% to a max of 2%.

Now these are just some ideas for this type of skill line taking other skill from other lines and making them similar would be the best choice in my opinion. To me this just opens the game up to more ways to enjoy the game with more options and I have always played more ES games with a one handed weapon.

I would also like to see a off hand item like a totem, icon of magic, or spell book type thing made for those who want that maybe a new skill line for that as well. One thing the Elder scrolls games are known for its verity in there games skills and this should be know different when you think about it. So give your thoughts on this so we can at least hear if the devs have anything to say on the matter. Also if anyone goes to a game show with the devs there and can ask why this is not there in a panel that would be great thanks.
