Soul Shards - Grand

I am sure many of you like me used to or still do steal the soul shards from the vendors. I had established quite an inventory of every level around a 100 of each. With 1T I only have to worry about one kind and this saves on bag space but I have seen something odd. I went to steal the shards like before and noticed there are still all level of shards still lying around to be stolen. !??? Whats the point of that if only one kind of shard is going to be sold and used why would the vendors have all the older version still around to be stolen. I was hoping to see them all replaced with with Grand. Just curious if this was an oversite or by design and if the later to what end and why? If not can we hope to see a change to in a upcoming patch? Thanks

I think if you try to pick any of those up, they will automatically turn into Grand ones.

I like that there is(going to be for console) one type of soul gem that way when low levels join a dungeon in pug they can actually rez people lol

Okay that seems silly that i never even picked them up to check i just viewed them....lol thanks Enodoc yeah they do just convert to Grand after you steal them.

I agree I like having one soul gem to rule them all.....
