Recipe stats unbalanced in update 12?

I created a new character after update 12 and when I learned some recipes with the new character, I went to a cooking fire to make some. The stats for her recipes came up significantly higher than the same recipes on one of my already existing champion characters. My new lvl 4 character could make a lvl 1 drink recipe with health recovery of 604 but my high lvl champion character could only make one for 74 health recovery. That doesn't make sense. There were also others that equally did not make sense. Is this a glitch?
