Wow Thank You so much!! I found eso64 and opened it and it worked. Do you know what might cause this issue?? And if there is a fix?

I did full uninstall and tried reinstalling, but with the launcher still not working, game just wouldn't patch at all. Oh what a time I had of it, trying to figure it all out...and I did! I figured out a solution on my own before the support team even contacted me. So there was at least a reply either later that day or a day later, but it didn't take them long.
Then the same problem began again the following weekend and unfortunately (much to my own regret) I forgot how I fixed it the first time. LOL Since then, I've been playing via the eso/game/client/.exe and now that there is a new patch, I cannot do that anymore because game is no longer up-to-date.I had a feeling that would happen tbh, but haven't yet rediscovered the solution.
I have an ASUS gaming laptop, duel core, Nvidia graphics, yadda, yadda. (prob about time for a new rig anyways)
So far, think I am leaning towards it being caused by Windows 10 update or another program updating (Flash or ESET antivirus maybe?) which is now interfering? (Fun fact: I had to stop updating my graphics driver last spring because it was causing pink screens of death >.<)
I do recall just now though that I tried uninstalling the Win 10 redistribution packages. The x86 one would not allow uninstall so it stayed. I ended up reinstalling the x64 one from the Windows DL site, but memory is foggy if I chose to install the DirectX(?) & Redistribution files that the eso game's installer offers. I think I initially tried installing those and then tried it without installing those, which is why I ended up downloading the x64 from the official windows site. Mhmm....

^ I'm gonna play around with this idea next and see where it leads. Please post any helpful updates here though.
Good luck with that then, it sounds as if W10 is the culprit. Not something I would give the time of day to frankly, I've no idea why people have switched to it especially if they were using W7 before.

We have the same rig setup you say? Interesting, but could it be coincidence? How old is yours? I think I got mine at the start of the year eso came out so about 2, going on 3 years old. Yuk! This is the first gaming laptop I've owned, always went with towers before. I was able to stretch my last tower's lifespan for 8 years before upgrading to the laptop.
