I HAVE selected live EU bnut still ending up on NA server

So was fine yesterday, updated, logged in, selected LiveEU and had all my stuff.... today I log in and go straight to NA server even though when I check the server it still reports Live-EU is selected.

Anyone working on a a fix for this ineptitude yet?

Got in and for some reason all my addons have been wiped since last night - are ZOS just trolling PC players now?

Ineptitude? They automatically direct you to the server reserved for the best players in the world and that makes them inept? You should shower blessing on them for finding you worthy to logon to NA!

I mean, you knew there was a reason the selection object says "Live" for NA, but "Live - EU" for EU, didn't you? It's really not so much a selection as it is a warning...

Luckily i had archived off all my settings and the root cause appears to be that between last night and today they renamed folders on my HD which they had not done during the initial install thus breaking everything.

I doubt you are correct, good sir. NA roleplayers actually have events.... I have been to EU, the roleplayers just gather in inns or remote PvE areas.

And for Amalexia's sake, tell the EUers around the bank to put some clothes on and stop doing... pushups...

Every patch something has to go wrong, now if you are a EU player you have to wait for several minutes to be able to log in to the game. and unfortunately several means more than 5 usually

and ZOS dares to call that 'solution' ?

It's never been more than a minute for me, and I agree that it isn't a solution so much as a workaround while they fix it. I'm on record as suggesting that it needs to be hot-fixed in hours rather than patched in days. One Tamriel is a massive invitation to former players and new players to visit the game, and the current issues are driving them away before they've even logged in. Including the launcher and game client changes in the same update as One Tamriel was madness.

Having same issues.

Yesterday after big patch everything worked for me, no lost settings or anything, was surprised with everyone complaining....

I was not effected at all, now...today 24 hours later, nothing is working and I can not even login or find my characters and all my settings have reset...

Yesterday after big patch everything worked for me, no lost settings or anything, was surprised with everyone complaining....

I was not effected at all, now...today 24 hours later, nothing is working and I can not even login or find my characters and all my settings have reset...

I think at some point today they randomly reset folders so you need to copy any old settings from what is now 'live_archive'.

No idea why they did it but this whole release seems to have been designed and tested by people who hate us and want us to stop playing.

Copying files to new folders does completely nothing...they really ******* this up big time...

To be fair, how could they know their silly practice of rolling out untested patches would fail this time too? Especially considering that players missing their characters after update is something that normally occurs only in jokes, they should have succeeded this time by pure chance.

2 things,
i have to switch several time (or attempt to really) before it accept my attempt to get on the EU server.

and it has accept old add-ons auto set to off. which if you don't realize has you go wtf.

That's something that occurs with every new update that changes the API version.

Where are you copying them to? All add-ons, saved variables, etc need to be in the "live" folder now (and if you're using Minion, you should reset its add-on folder detection so it doesn't keep recreating the "liveeu" folder).
