Stories of Your First Night in One Tamriel

Hey everyone! We've had what your plans were for One Tamriel, so what did you actually end up doing?? Tell you first One Tamriel story!

Personally I logged on, and of course, headed to the undaunted enclave to turn in keys. I planned on doing some treasure map hunting but instead ended up doing one dungeon (Wayrest II) for two undaunted keys! Actually felt like a time save compared to the old way. It was great, group was from guild and we had a great time!

After that the guild had their regular Wednesday night event, except this was the first time it was cross faction. We had 21 people charging in at the world bosses in Orsinium! The poor group leader must have felt like she was hearding a bunch of overactive kittens though haha.

After that, that's where One Tamriel really sunk in. My main character is lvl 50 and AD, and Auridon was always my favourite. I just went to Auridon, into first person, and wandered around! I just enjoyed the scenery, harvested nodes (hooray!), fought the off hostile animal that go in my way and such. Couple times I heard a dolmen, and ran off towards that and was always met with a group just starting the battle! It was awesome to just wander around my first zone and feel like I'm accomplishing something (getting XP, gold, crafting mats, gear)!

I mentioned this on the forums already but aside from doing dolmens the thing that stuck out in my mind was trying to use a Stronefalls Treasure Map II (which is now inside inaccessible player housing) and fell into an inescapable volcanic pit where a handful of people were dueling.

I took a fairly new character out to the Rift and tried to solo a world boss, didn't go well. People kept filtering in. it eventually took 4 or 5 randoms a pretty long time to take it down. Pretty sweet!

A few of us went to Vet Selene's web, final boss was totally doable but much more of a fight than I expected. I got the Helm in infused on the first try! That set is fun to play with and the animation is neat. 5 minutes tooling around Wrothgar with it and I'm hooked.

Cities are all fairly crowded, they feel like cities.

Everything you kill is making it rain loot. My bags fill up fast now.

Last night was so much fun !

I joined forces with people of all alliances to fight Molag Bal and his anchor minions invading Tamriel . First in Rivenspire . We all quickly traveled to each area as the dark anchors kept dropping sending wave after wave of new Daedra and dark creatures . Gathered much needed gear in the process .

Went to Ali'kirr desert and the same . Dozens of people from all factions fighting Daedra and world bosses . First time since launch I seen so many people once again together . I can't wait to log in today and do more .

I played the "EU log in saga" for a while, eventually beating the log in boss!

I did writs, had to "rediscover Craglorn and raged that everything I'd done there (apart from skyshards) was lost.

Cashed in my stored surveys - and came up against the RNG gods when refining... 7 tempers from over 2500 raw materials

Did the fighter's guild daily - too much time waiting at dolmen

Did the mage's guild daily - collected some pottery

Did the undaunted daily... collected some more pottery

Fought in the Kvatch Arena - and won!!

Found out that the destro ult was far better than I expected, but the dual wield ult not as good as the tool tip suggested.

Did a world boss in Auridon - he went down easy... not surprising, elven scum

For me, last night was a nightmare. All the cities were littered with dead NPCs that you had to wade through. Dueling was taking place EVERYWHERE. Every a**hole with a weapon was challenging me to duel. Every dolmen and WB was either cleared or camped by a dozen+ players (will be worse during Witches Festival). The player population was so dense that it reminded me of when the game first launched.

On the better side, there was so many ruby nodes! I never thought I would just ride past a silk node and not harvest it. It looks like refined ruby mats will be selling for next to nothing soon.

Got home at 10:00 PM, took shower, did homework until 11:30. 3rd day in a row not being able to play except for 5 minutes to upgrade horses.

But when I get to play (hopefully today ;_;) I'm going to use all my undaunted keys, and use all those treasure maps.

Oh yeah @phreatophile . I haven't had to do major inventory management since crafting bags... but darn. I had to last night. It was raining loot... and SET LOOT! Finally let go of my old CP140 sets I was hoarding. Surprised that I could still get so much gold for them.. lol

[EDIT] FORGOT TO MENTION that while you decided to hide under the stairs, the *ehem* AMAZING healer of the group tanked the boss and helped finish the fight.

I wasn't stuck under a rock, I was stuck in between 2 boulders...

Actually, I got stuck in a lot of places last night. Maybe I was stuck under a rock at one point.

Log in into Deshaan, thought I'd be stuck in loading screen for hours, but nope.

Bunch of people fighting around the wayshrine, I just check some UI changes, make sure outdated addons are accepted to get my fav' UI working, and head to grab some keys, get mostly prosperous / training stuff and sigh heavily.

With all the new sets out, I do a vWayrest Sewers II run, mobs are longer to kill, not many changes, we complete the dungeon without any issue, then comes the question:

"Wait, did we activate hard mode?"

We desperately look for a scroll, before realizing that we were silly, since you only have to activate hard mode for dungeons which didn't previously have one (we killed 15 zombies during the boss fights, so got 2 keys). A guildie leaves with Medium Sturdy Malu, I sigh at my Prosperous Malu helmet and move on.

Raid in preparation (HODOOOOR!), I go to Craglorn. By Sithis, I've never seen that many people in one place :O bunch of people fighting each other, I just go buy a few hundreds of weapon crit/brutality potions and go to vMoL.

Did 3 runs, fair amount of lag, altho it remains playable, got the first vMoL completion EU in 1T with a decent score for non HM. 3rd and last run, people messing up quite a bit, but **** happens. We leave it and start rocking vet dungeons like crazy.

Running a bit of Crypt of hearts for Ilambris (mostly for someone else since I want Kra'gh), then 3 runs of Vaults of Madness. We try to get no-death on the last two, but #FallDamage and #Derp said otherwise. RIP achievement. Get 3 Light Divines Grothdar in a row, well, here you go groupmates, have my stuff.

Mostly feels like the revamped dungeons are just like the old ones, with tonz more HP for all mobs, but difficulty is basically the same. Kinda annoying, but oh well.

It's 2AM, I wander the forums and check our vMoL run to see it from someone else's perspective. It's 3:30AM, and I'm supposed to wake up in 4h. I go open a few other chests since I'm on a different alt, loot the chest and sigh many many times.

I grab a drink and go to sleep, more stuff to be done tonight

Hmm, seems like an amazing healer would have kept the tank alive while he was stuck inside the stairs instead of letting him die... I was still holding aggro and applying DOTs and stuff while I was stuck in there. At least until someone let me die...

I turned in some IC keys at for mad loots.

I turned in some Undaunted keys for Training gear.

I repeated the one and only Craglorn quest I've ever seen.

I downloaded a mod to auto-invite people to group because of the Cyrodiil group dismissal bug

I rode a horse with fancy red Ebonheart barding.

I accidentally killed some camels in Craglorn with AOE, and then took their meat for later use.

I watched @Beerbong_Ginn soloyolo into a group of Craglorn mobs and die.

I had a sad because @Senk3tsu never got to come join us.

I got extremely annoyed with the epeen measuring via the dueling system in crowded social spots when there was a new arena for such opened up a quick ride down the road away.

I did Bleakrock Isle on my new baby EP Templar.

I was happy just to be able to log in! No major bugs, another happy. Out of my hoard of keys, I got an Iceheart shoulder, infused or divines, I forget now. With my very last key I got a light Ilambris divines! I think I just stared at the screen for a while, grinning like a cat!

I had left my main character in Belkarth after doing her writs the night before, so I was kinda dreading what I'd find when I logged on after reading about the "new" Craglorn instance and stuff. The good news was it didn't load me in Craglorn, but the bad news was it loaded me in Wayrest. After I'd made a point to make sure none of my characters were left in major cities.

Well the load took longer than usual but finally went through. I reactivated my outdated add-ons and turned on duel auto-decline. Then I went looking for new guild dailies to pick up. People were spamming skills all over the place, presumably most of them dueling. I just ignored them and ran right through everything. I don't know if anyone considers it disruptive to run through the middle of a duel, but then that's what you get when you're dueling where people are running through.

While I was picking up quests a guildie asked for some backup for a world boss in Auridon, so I hopped over there. The fight was in progress when I got there so I ran up and started tagging with my bow, and immediately got killed with absolutely no warning. Fortunately there was still a second baddie there to kill so I was able to get some decent hits in after I rezzed myself. Got an impen Elegant hat out of that one, which I purpled out and threw on the guild store for an exorbitant amount of money.

Finally got to my guild dailies. The Mages Guild one involved running through Crow's Wood, ignoring all of the monsters, and looting a chest in the unspawned big boss room. The Fighters Guild one involved wayshrining around Malabal Tor along with hordes of other people just trying to find a spawned dolmen and get in on it before it was cleared. Got some new set jewelry that'll take up space in my inventory until I figure out how to price it. Landed a Draugr motif on the second reward coffer and put that up in the guild store for an exorbitant amount of money.

Went to see the third live-action Rurouni Kenshin movie. It was rad.

Came home and ventured into new territory in the Rift to find the delve for the Undaunted daily. Thought I would just have to light some braziers but then had to fight the delve boss, which was initially weird because some other people had just killed him and the quest notice told me I had to kill him before the lights went out. Which is hard to do when he's not there to kill. But it worked out okay. Got 10 points toward my Undaunted skill line, which is the only one of the three that wasn't already maxed out. Coffer loot was junk.

Did some shopping in Wayrest. Found a cheap Malacath motif page that I didn't have. Didn't sell either of my new exorbitantly priced loot drops by the time I went to bed, but someone did buy the last batches of petty and minor soul gems that were still hanging out in my listings. I have no idea why. Maybe they're collectors' items now.

Should have gone to bed at that point but I decided to take the cart to Craglorn and pick up the daily there for a chance at a Yokudan motif. Was running around Belkarth trying to figure out where to pick up the daily when someone in zone asked for people to join a daily group. Discovered that the Craglorn dailies involve going through a rather long dungeon and can't be done in 5 minutes like the others. Did my first ever Craglorn dungeon (not a delve, I guess; it was the one on the west end of the map with the coffin icon) with three people and we made it through despite one wipe and a number of deaths on the part of my comrades. Didn't get a Yokudan motif page but I did get a style material. Will probably put off doing the Craglorn daily stuff until I'm ready to do the actual quest lines there. Spent some time running around harvesting. It was weird not seeing the blue stuff that I'm used to easily picking out. Didn't get any nirn but that's not surprising. Got in on a group doing one of the Anka-ra sites that I probably didn't need to bother with.

Finally went to bed.

So... spent more time than I should have given the limitations of my real-life schedule for the day, but I'm satisfied with having gotten the guild dailies done and the Craglorn experience was aight. I'll have more time tonight so I'll need to come up with a better gameplan after I knock off the guild dailies. My head is still kind of swimming with all of the new gear availability, so I might not worry about farming gear and just get back to questing and work on clearing more of my Gold maps while there are people around to help with world bosses and stuff. I'll also need to work out how my writs work now and where the hell my level 17 master provisioner and enchanter is supposed to be dropping stuff off now.

Wayrest Sewers. One of our dps's monitor would go blanks. So he was playing blind on the final boss. We made calls for him. Go right, go left, spam tornado. I thought it was hilarious.

I did all of the pledges and tried to figure out WTH 1 & 2 really meant.

Spent the rest of my time sorting through my inventory trying to figure out how on earth I am going to store all of these new sets. (even as a subscriber)

Yeah, all those new sets.. gone are the days I can hoard and just randomly try new stuff
