Anyone notice this seems a little tough. Main boss 4.7mil health adds spawn with +200k health. Think this is a little tough for just vet mode. I'm speaking of Validreath without the hard mode activation. I have done it many times and after the patch she just seems way to hard for purple gear.

    4.7m health is exactly how much she had before, and that's not even considering hard mode. It's a good level of difficulty, people need something to work towards.

    I've done it with satellite and a damn good team, you will too with enough preparation.

    I think this is a fairly good fight if you come prepared, but it can go south really quickly.

    For example, having Purge or Ritual of Retribution/the other morph if that also gives the Purify synergy available makes dealing with the blobs and snares a lot easier. I ran it last night with friends and we didn't have this available, so it took a few tries and both I and the other DPS were constantly out of stamina since Velidreth decided that it was a good day for green.

    With the adds, it's add management to a T. What my friends and I do is we try to drag the adds to Velidreth and AOE them down and try to line them up and nail them with Dawnbreaker/Ice Comet/Standard/whatever.

    What are you having trouble with, exactly? Just wondering, that way I can offer maybe more targeted advice.

    That's part of the mechanic. Velidreth's orbs adjust themselves to what your group has the most of, magicka stam or HP. Makes different adds spawn aswell.

    I remember the first time doing this dungeon with a full magicka group and I was thinking to myself, wow this last boss really screws over magicka builds, way to favor stamina builds. And then I heard people talk about green and red orbs, and I was thinking wtf are they talking about? :D

    Took a couple runs before I realized.

    I've heard vICP and vWGT was just as tough when they were first released. ZoS will nerf CoS eventually, so even scroll modes will be doable in a good PuG. As of now I will suggest always doing CoS without a scroll if you are in the dungeon finder group. It will award you with only one key, but meh, no big deal.

    can confirm its exactly same amount of health in nm; it can feel different inf you have other group composition colour of orbs could be different. The fight choreography depends hugely on group composition so it can feel different easily

    I suspect some of the Sets that removes negative effects would be perfect there. That one old one was buffed to remove 5 negative effects.

    Actually, the orbs are produced following the move where Velidreth eats your Ultimate. The colour of the orbs reflects the highest stats of the player whose Ultimate got eaten.

    My biggest issue is 4th boss, his attacks don't always telegraph the best.
