*Sigh* writs. AGAIN!

So now my writs, for my max level crafters, are sending me to craglorn to hand in(not wrothgar, regardless where i get the quests) and giving me BIRCH and EBONY

Why is ZoS so focused on making the game as tedious, boring, frustrating, and 'unfun' as possible, with every god-dammed step?

First annoyance is the stupid vast flooding of training/prosperous with ALL loot(WAY more than 90% of my loot is those 2 traits) - btw why the heck are those still even in-game/dropping in their current form and ESP for end game gear? - after lasts months bs with writs not being at all, even remotely profitable ( and the short time between then and yesterday, where they were worth doing) NOW your making us spend MAX LEVEL RESOURCES for not even shadowhide level crap? Now your dropping us down even FURTHER?

WHY zos?

Starting to really feel that zos is trying, purposely, to tank their game as fast as possible to avoid any 'lawsuits' (IE U make your playerbase quit, your servers can shut down without fear from ppl suing due to subs being 'canceled' early. - I don't see much good at all with most of the recent changes to game, and the one tameril crap is even further down that road.)

It's in the patch notes. This is only way for max-level crafters to still get low-level mats as you no longer can gather them. You either get a harvesting map (which will yield max-level mats) or a collection of 25 low-level mats.

Keep lower level mats. Prices for them will sky rocket soon.

Honestly, thats just junk i'd RATHER NOT clutter my inventory up with (Even if i got ESO+, i mean WITHOUT It it'd be freaking hell)

Ontop of that, for pretty much the same reason, they are giving us more than the 'normal' possible provisioning, so now instead of invetory holding 6 possible items(you make min 4, one used for writ, so 3 will sit around in stacks until eventually used) you got 12-18?

I really thinking they only want 'epic pro's and newbies' in this game. Its not welcoming to the people who are loyal, but not quite leader-board quality (IE me lol) - The epic pro's will stick around regardless of the punishment(maybe BECAUSE of the punishment?) and the newbies will come in, drop 30-100 bucks, and leave in a few months. PERFECT customers, no need to worry about server load if your customers leave quickly right?)

If you don't want it, trash it. The chance of getting a Survey Report for appropriate-level mats remains the same, they've just added low level mats to every reward that doesn't have a Survey Report.

@AtmaDarkwolf Not sure what you mean by this? Normally each Writ tier needs 6 items (3 food, 3 drink) you can premake the items though. So I make stacks of 100 of each, taking up only 6 slots, and just pickup the Writ / hand it in.

Do you mean you are now getting asked for different Food/Drinks each Writ? as not sure thats correct?

Just saw another post on this. so the issue appears to be you are getting Writ requests for Recipes in Recipe Improvement Teir 6, and in that Tier are CP 50, 100 and 150 Recipes. Wherewas before you only got asked for CP150 Recipes.

Thus 3 CP teirs x 6 Recipes is 18, so I get ya, 18 slots wasted on holding the food needed!

Very unsure if this is intended, we'll see what ZOS say. Maybe open an in game ticket in case its not picked up here by the Forum Crew @ZOS_GinaBruno etc

Actually, no. There's another "complication". ZOS realized it was time consuming for us to collect the surveys, so they decided to make surveys drop significantly LESS OFTEN. But when you get a survey, the nodes don't drop 2x the amount of a normal node but about 6x this amount. So less surveys, more stuff per survey = less time for same result.

While this is a very good design choice imho, unfortunately in many people's mind, it will mean less survey + lower level mats = writs less profitable. It's incorrect but that's the impression it makes, psychologically.

I might be mistaken, but I think the level VI provisioning writs require a mixture of both CP 50 and CP 100 consumables, and the level VII ones required only CP 150 recipes to make, and are on a 3 day rotation as we all know. This would make the requirements in inventory of 12 instead of 18 (3 day rotation x 2 recipes/day x 2 writ levels).

I can confirm that at least one of my chars, after receiving a level VI prov writ yesterday, received a level VII prov writ today. I will continue to follow, but wonder if this might be a bug related to changing the turn in for the highest level writs back to Belkarth? It's like back to the future on some of these provisioning writs.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, can get any word on this? Is this a bug or intended?

After checking, I'm not sure anymore. The patch notes say :
    Survey Reports
All survey reports now spawn six rich nodes. To balance out the reduction in number of nodes at high-tier survey sites, the amount of materials high-tier rich nodes award has been increased.

which maybe I confused with "surveys drop less often".

However surveys don't drop as often as they used to - but that's not since yesterday. Has been like that for about am month or so.

What do you think, fellow crafters ?

Op is spot on the money: they're making this game as tedious and unfun and frustrating as possible. They're weeding out their customer base. They pamper the top tier streamers (let them get away with cheating and exploiting) and make it exceedingly harder and harder for casual, mediocre players to have any fun in this game.

    From the 2.6.2 patch notes:
    Survey Reports

Survey Reports now drop half as often from Crafting Writs, but rich nodes at survey sites now provide twice as many materials as they did previously. This should result in roughly the same amount of materials from Survey Reports overall, but each individual report is now more lucrative.

They halved the survey drop frequency from writs and doubled the yield to keep the material return the same. That's the reason so many folks hoarded their surveys the last two weeks in order to take advantage of the increased return after the patch. Their thinking is to decrease the amount of time folks spend harvesting surveys but make it the same amount of material return. This is fine with me, although the RNG on survey drops will mean a bit more volatility in my inventory of materials in the short term. Long term, I hope and expect it will even out.

Which is why I saved up all my surveys over the last month. They now are worth 2x.
