The tooltip reads, "Increases your damage with melee weapon attacks by 4%"

Can anyone confirm whether or not this applies to the following:

Stam Templar Biting Jabs

Werewolf Melee Damage
Wood Elf Stam NB (PVP)
Redguard Stam Sorc (PVP)
Altmer NB (DPS)
Imperial DK (Tank)
Redguard DK (DPS)
Altmer Templar (Healer)

A melee attack is anything that is 7 meters and lower, does Physical, Poison or Disease damage.

If you have Red Mountain or Viper, you can put that on and try Jabs, if it does not proc for either one, it's safe to assume that the Orc passive does not affect Jabs.

last i checked jabs was procing viper also the bow attacks,so your argument might be invalid.

For the OP's question, the melee damage in this game means stamina based all attacks. But i believe orc passive works with only light and heavy attacks.

Last time I checked the passive applied to all stamina based attacks with a max range of 8m or less and all stamina based charges. So unless they changed something since soth patch, Jabs, ww light and heavy attacks, jump and aoe are increased, the ww howl is not increased.

I always thought it only affected weapon and weapon skill line damage… though tbh I've never tested it.

What is throwing me off is "melee weapon attacks". I was considering an Orc Stamplar for my next build, but if this passive didn't apply to jabs or WW I was going to go a different direction.

I guess someone could test by seeing the damage with no points into the passive then seeing if there's a change after you put the passives in.
