Why is it I have to repair with EVERY game patch?

I have two computers, one of them patches with no issues ever, the other one has to repair EVERY TIME the game gets a patch. No matter how big or how small, it has to repair everytime, always, everytime. I don't understand why it happens this way, or what I can do to Permanently fix it from having to repair everytime, always, everytime!?!

I've been playing since launch and use to have that issue over a year ago. Eventually my hubby and I just started loading the launcher just to download patches and updates, then we would close the launcher and run the game with the ESO exe (or application depending on what you call it). We just put a shortcut to the exe on our desktop and have always run the game from that.

Not saying it will work for everyone, but several of our friends have also started running the game like that as well and they have never had anymore problems with having to repair the game, or getting the patch manifest error message anymore.

Edit: keep in mind we did have to change our shortcut when the 64-bit client came out. We just simply deleted the old shortcut and put the Eso64 one on our desktop.

I'm having the same issue. Got the error and now the game is repairing, and from the looks of it won't be done for another 10 hours or so... Same thing happened at last patch, and even after the repair the game kept crashing and I had to repair a total of three times before I could log in.

We run ours off of a shortcut too, but the launcher won't finish patching ever, until it gets repaired. Once we repair it, it finishes the patch and no issues from there but EVERY TIME?!? It gets Old!
