Is it true that we can not yet enter the game?

Is it true we can not yet log into the game, but only download the patch? I am now at the login screen and it says it's still under maintenance.

Yes, the server is still down, possibly for another half hour or so.

Yeah most companies do this nowdays to allow players to get straight into playing as soon as the servers go live, rather than having to wait around anxiously downloading a 3GB patch

well at least I got the game patched prior to server coming online. Makes me wonder why this wasn't done before to save time.

This is pretty common if you have the launcher open while the servers are down, it will download the update as soon as its available to the client, which is occasionally before the server is flipped back online... this isn't the first time

well it's the first time I guess that the patch beating the server for me. Because after the patch I have always been able to login right after.
