Remove IC population from Cyrodiil server populations.

That right there is how to end the annoying pop-locks which make me wait 20-45 minutes to get into Trueflame, and other servers.

As soon as a player leaves Cyrodiil for any reason, and that includes going into IC, they are removed from the population. Yes, that means that you can be unable to reenter Cyrodiil like the rest of us should it be pop-locked for real, and that should be a real penalty for going ganking in the sewers as opposed to helping your faction on the campaign map. You can still get into the PVE portion of Tamriel from IC, so they're not completely stuck in IC.

Cyrodiil populations should be reflective of the actual people playing in Cyrodiil.

Agree..... million percent. Sewer pop should not be connected to cyrodil pop.

Are there any actual downsides to this change?

That would be really insightful, if it were true.

The only downside that I can think of is in reality an upside. It's that a large raid can't go hide in the sewers sucking up AP, and then zerg out of them to hit a keep or two, and then slink back inside once they're done/defeated.

Most changes ppl dream up have significant downsides. This one seems like such a no-brainer. Was just wondering if anyone else could think of a downside, haha.

wait, what? you want to lock people who want to go to IC, you want them to get locked in IC or return to PVE-only Cyrodiil? What about when someone just wants to go to IC for a while and then fight PVP in Cyro again??

You are speaking about IC as something inferior to Cyro. Why that?

A better solution would be to increase the server power for Cyro and increase the Campaing population cap for each campaign!!

u not gettin it ur claws highness

imperial city counts towards the cyrodiil pop, these people are not helping the cause (or claws :P) often there are ppl zerging ic and not letting ppl into cyro, it needs to be seperated

Pop locks were a thing before IC was ever available and the populations inside IC are very slim comparitively. I'm not sure it'd do much at all for the population issues?

Stormproof: Vibeke - 50 EP mDragonknight | Savi Dreloth - 50 EP Magsorc | Sadi Dreloth - 50 EP Magblade | Sigtric Stormaxe - 50 EP Stamsorc | Valora Dreloth - 50 EP Magplar | Sigtric the Unbearable 50 EP Stam Warden

IC populations have been pretty low lately. Just a couple days ago I was in a group of 8 and we wrecked everyone in IC. I think it would be best to have one campaign that has no IC attached.

I would like to see Cyrodil and IC to be discounted with population caps. If you have to queue to switch between the two that is fine. I believe this needs to be rethought and worked out for the betterment of the players.

The populations of Cyrodiil and the Imperial City / Sewers have completely different goals, collect different currency, and have no incentive or /zone to coordinate together - they are basically playing in two different realms already.

In absence of increasing server power to make population caps unnecessary, recommend Zenimax to decouple the populations of Cyrodiil proper from the Imperial City and IC DLCs. Every population slot assigned to a "sewer farmer" is one less able-bodied soldier that can be on the field in Cyrodiil participating in the grand alliance war - which is ultimately the best part of this game for many of us.
