Really tired of resto staff...

But I need it because of healing ward. Any chance there is a reliable burst heal for magic classes (other than magplar) in the near future? Would love to use dual wield, destro on a magblade for pvp. :)

No thank you. It's annoying enough having one class with a burst heal

Personally I think Healing Ward should sit in Mage Guild. It would change very little but would mean that finally magic builds can use something other than Resto' staff.

All these skills and yet as a Magic Nightblade you're pretty much stuck with how many of them you can take.

It is really annoying using a whole new weapon just to be able to heal yourself....and btw an unreliable heal since its common warding another dude instead of you.
    Walks-in-Shadowss AD Magblade
    *** kitty AD Stamblade
    Paarthurnax's Will AD Magicka DK
agnar cracked skull EP Magicka DK (veteran dragonstar arena bot)
    Klogi Mugdul AD Stamina DK
Savre Selranni AD Magicka Sorc (being polished)
Avenar Lolhealing AD Magicka Templar (being polished)

Yeah, Ward should work 100% on the caster, I had to throw it out 7 times the other day just to get a shield on me, by that time I just used Harness Magicka in the end, which is frankly not as good when it comes to keeping you alive.

In a game where stamina builds are back to full health in a blink of an eye, I STILL have to carry a Resto' staff for a shield which will maybe, kinda might, heal me.

I've been feeling the same way lately, and I'm a magplar! T

he only heal that I regularly use from resto staff is healing ward, and I've spent a lot of skill points to unlock all the passives. Healing springs is good too, but I can substitute it with purifying ritual, which is more flexible since it's class-based. When I heal in dungeons. I would rather use Breath of Life than Healing Ward, since you can actually see on their health bar that they're 'safe' from danger. I really only use Healing Ward when I'm by myself, doing solo content like vma.

I'm really thinking about throwing out that staff for something else... but there really aren't many interesting alternative. xD

They should make the resto staff more interesting. I'd love to see a skill that gives a slight physical and spell resistance buff to allies. I hate it when I get squishy glass cannons in my group that get one shot because they stand in stupid. If I could give them a final fantasy version of 'protect' and 'shell' they might be able to stay alive long enough for my instant heal to make it their way.

Just to know, how is the synergy between syphon spirit and punct strikes in PvE?
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

So after the update, the base ability of the Resto staff ultimate has actually saved my life and the life of random people around me quite a few times. Unexpected!

It doesn't work as well. Harness is really nice, don't get me wrong but it's only there to take the edge of burst attacks and to keep you in the fight. Ward on the other hand will literally save your life when you're hit by the crazy amount of burst we're all suffering under right now (plus of course they both stack).

The extra 300% shield strength is too good to give up on and while what you've said DOES work, you really find yourself missing that protection.

If you're magic Nightblade then really, restro staff is a no brainer but it's lame being stuck with the same damn stick over and over again.

Yeah it's a pretty good burst heal for a fairly low cost. It's better than the stupidly underpowered and over cost Destro' staff ultimate that's for sure.

I feel the same man, have recently ditched it for dual wield and attempting to use dark conversion.

I think putting a heal into Mages Guild tree instead of the stupid skill that just kills you would help us!
