I'm a stam nightblade and I'm having trouble staying alive in pvp. My gear is more of a pve build, and all my gear is divines. I made a 5 piece set of twice born star impenetrable gear, 5 viper, and 2 leki. The problem with that is that my health dropped from 19-20k to 13k. And my stam dropped to 29k. My attributes are 60 stam 4 health. Should I put a few more points into health, and add some health glyphs? Currently I have all stam glyph except one big piece which is a health glyph. But what I really want to know is, did I waste a lot of mats, and gold on these sets? Lol. Tia for any advice

I would die so often without these abilitys on my nb. I play a hit and run nightblade though. If i wanted to do more sustained fighting id play a dragonknight or templar.

Want to win in pvp? Wear Heavy Black rose

Don't ask questions, just do it

You'll do the same damage but have much higher resistance and doubled sustain

4 points in health isn't going to do much. You're better off just sticking that into your stamina. 13k health should get buffed to 18k with the battle spirit buff, then add some more health with food. If you want regen, try the Orzoga's food which gives you a nice boost to health and stam regen.
If you want even more health, you could replace robust rings with healthy.

And tbh, I wouldn't bother running TBS without divines..the gains would be too small for it to make much difference.

The viper and leki is good but TBS is honestly a wasted 5 piece in PvP since most players are stacking impen which will negate most of that crit damage. I would recomend replacing your TBS with either black rose if you want to run heavy (you will gain a ton of survivability that way) or medium hundings or clever alchemist if you want to be a bit more glassy. For stam builds I like to run 5 impen and 2 well fitted.

Also weapon damage and pen > crit against most players in pvp due to impen armor and shields. TBS in divines is amazing in PVE but I'd suggest trying to stack more weapon dmg if you have the resources available. I do just fine on my stamblade with 5 hundings, 3 agility, 2 leki's and a Kena shoulder. Try 5/1/1 setup with a heavy reinforced chest and the rest impen....

Black rose is sensational if you play a bit more face tanky but you'll lose so much speed and sneak radius buffs for a NB imo. No reason your health should be 13k with food even in azuras campaign, I have nothing in health whatsoever and sit at 22k on my redguard.

So from what I have seen, 25k health for DPS seems to be the baseline for having 'pretty good' health/ surviving hits. I too also had a similar problem of having not enough tankyness to stay in the fight. So I switched over to 5pc Heavy, 2pc medium which seems to work well for my Redguard.

    With that in mind, you can go science a couple of sets you want to use. Just make sure you have the health glyphs if the set does not provide health bonus' to you. I also wouldn't get too bent up on having Impen on all of your pieces. Having a couple Well-Fitted will help your guy a lot. As an example let me mention my set up;
    5pc Clever Heavy, w/ 2pieces having Well Fitted, 2 impen, 2H Sword/Bow sharpend
5pc Skrimisher w/ 2pieces Well Fitted, rest jewelry
    1pc Kena Impen

Since Clever has health buffs and Heavy armor passives have health buffs [5pc is 10% more health on the tooltip], I only really felt the need to put 1 extra health glyph on my guy, rest stamina [robust on jewlery] my dude has around 30.8k stamina. Has 1.2k regain but uses Siphon Strikes and Relentless Focus for regain too. Plus, I don't need shuffle/mirage on my bar because I have Skirmisher buffs when I roll and I get heavy armor buffs when I'm struck. I also run Forward Momentum to get rid of snares in place of Shuffle.
So you can do something like that, or you could fashion something around Viper. Viper is a cool set as is Leki, you can build a nice gank build out of that if that tickles your fancy. I don't do gank builds as you can see from my write up.

I'd replace the tbs. And replace leki with X2 velidreth, or 1 pc monster set. (Wep dmg, stamina recovery.)

If you want more survivability you're going to want a lot more stamina recovery then those sets offer you. Switch tbs out for eternal hunt or marksman would work as well and be a cheaper alternative to what you just spent.

Don't put on black rose that set is for noobs.

I agree with alot of posts here, went 5 black rose, 5 viper, 2 bloodspawn. Melee focused with silver bolts as my ranged option. Works really well for nightblade. Great survivability/sustain and decent burst/damage.

While a build like yours can work in pvp you miss the only thing that matters, impenetrable, a lot of it.
Without that you allow enemies to crit on you for tons of damage.

It's a high demand set atm, so prices may be high. I got my set in about 2 hours of grinding stones. Go to a district held by your faction and AoE down some mobs. I'd get about 5k stones every 20ish minutes. Then port back and deposit. Gotta be wary of ganks. Don't go and pull a ton of mobs in high traffic areas and fight endlessly. Scope a group out, wait, look around, then attack. Kill em fast then stealth and go to another section. Keep this up and be wary of your surroundings.

TBS IS BAD IN PVP, run 5 hundings 2 velidreth 3 agility and any maelstrom stam weapons if you have any or if you want to get easy kills in pvp, run 5 eternal hunt 5 viper 2 velidreth, want to be even more OP, run 5 fasalla's guile 5 viper 2 velidreth.

Don't listen to the people saying wear black rose, it's only useful on a redguard.

I'll say the best bet to do this on is a stamplar something tanky where you can still use your regular PVP setup and just jab the mobs to death and if your attack pop your rune and vitality pot and heal back up to full health on the would be gankie and rekt his scrub but.

Is it better to eat a STAM regen food like the above, or a STAM boost such as this one: http://esoacademy.com/recipes/longfin-pasty-with-melon-sauce/ ?

I was always imagining it was better to boost the stamina pot rather than regen it quicker, but that's just my intepretation.

Regen is better imo, regen will save your life in long battles.Max stam foods will increase your dps but in a 1vX or 1v1, you'll be running out of stamina quickly.

Use blue health+stam food or purple food, the regen is ok but it's going to be kind of overkill with siphoning attacks and especially if you run black rose, it should work out to ~700 regen by itself. Also if you do run black rose, you want to focus on cost reduction more than regen with your CP, your regen stat is going to be low so the CP boost to regen will be relatively small.
