Wasn't This an Exclusive Pet Much, Much Earlier?

Saw this today....

It's the Rufous Mudcrab pet. Wasn't this a so-called exclusive pet for being part of the beta?

Or was it an "exclusive" for something else?

In any case it's a misuse of the word clearly.

I looked over the stuff they're selling. Dominion, yes. Covenant, yes. Why nothing for the best written story of the three, the Pact?

The Nibenay Mudcrab was a pet rewarded for purchasing either the imperial edition or the explorers pack, can't remember which, but I have the pet.

The "exclusive" mudcrab wasn't for the beta. Beta testers got a monkey. The mudcrab you're thinking of came with the Imperial Edition. And this isn't the same mudcrab. The Imperial Edition mudcrab is a Nibenay mudcrab, not a rufous one. Basically they're different colours.

The Pact was about the fallacy of the phrase, "Desperate times call for desperate measures." It went beyond the standard for fantasy stories told in games. It was as close to profound as this game gets.

But I began playing this game while living in Germany. The French flocked to the Covenant as Bretons are medieval French. Brits preferred the Dominion as it is....well...rather British.

The Germans mostly went for the Pact. They understood more than most how wrong that fundamental principal is.

But I digress. Why no Pact merch? Why are they calling something that isn't exclusive....exclusive?

I got it for something....and was told it was exclusive when it was given to me. But the fact I cannot recall what it was for seems to suggest it didn't matter to me all that much.

Thus it will not likely matter to folks they mean to sell their ESO merch to I guess.

Yes, but a google search is the most singularly uninteresting of exercises. Plus it's often wrong. I have one. I didn't attend a convention. I'm not into plushies or furries. So....

If we're all throwing out opinions, I disliked the dagger fall story the most, but for one reason alone. I felt like I was in people's heads or dreams or past the whole time. Nothing took place in the real, present nirn. Well that's an exaggeration, but still, too much dream walking

looks like they request a new registration on bethesda store to be able to buy something, and it also requires to receive an email to activate the account, but their system is not sending that email and it's not possible to request to send it again. i already create a few accounts with different emails and nothing happens, so, it seems pretty "exclusive" to me, since probably no one will be able to get it

True, but prior to that a limited number of rufous mudcrabs were accidentally given out, completely at random.

I have the scrib from the bobblehead figurine and the guar from the plush toy. I gave away the physical items but kept the pet codes. I gave away my pig pet code I won when I left the game for what turned out to be only 7 months.

the problem with the pact is a lack of intreasting support characters you can care about. certainly not on the scale of Darrien or Gabrille or even Lady Laurent and Stibbons.

It wasn't part of any pack. It was a special code you got from buying the mudcrab plush off the Bethesda Store

EP story seemed to be about a King who could never live up to the shadow of his sister.

It was a pet some of us got by "accident". We were allowed to keep it. They always said they would sell it at some point.
