i always thought the game was saving every step, and because of that i never cared much when i grt kicked from the server. but a few minutes ago, something happened and i was automatically logged off the game, and when i returned i noticed that i start very far from the place where i was and some of my weapons changed. so, i noticed that the quests that i complete recently were back and i even lost every item that i collect recently. i'm not sure if this is normal, but it was the first time that i noticed that the game is not saving after every quest. it would be nice to have an option to save manually, to avoid this.

That generally only happens when the server crashes and recent info has been lost - it's not supposed to ever happen. It's called a "rollback":

    - Rollback .
The full state of the game world is usually not saved permanently on the game servers continously, but is done at intervals. To fix a big problem with a gaming world, the game may be rolled back to a previous state. Players possessions, their whereabouts, their state, etc. will all be rolled back and appear to be in the same state as they were on that point in time.

It depends on your connection and the current state of the server. If you have a bad connection the game will not update to the points you physically traveled to. Server rollbacks are not common but do happen once in a blue moon depending on server circumstances.

oh ok. so probably was some "rollback". i was more worried to know if it was more frequent, because i'm not always checking my bags to know when something is missing. this time i saw it because there was a lot of changes. thanks ;)

Yeah, they are rare, but they do happen. If you do end up losing something pretty important (MSA weapon, rare jewelry drop, etc.), you can try to contact customer support and see if they can retrieve it for you, but I would only do it if anything you lost is kind of a big deal. They probably won't take you seriously in the future if you send in a support ticket about losing basic green items, or being dishonest and saying you lost something you never actually had.

i was doing some Cadwell's Gold, the only thing important that i lost was the will to repeat the quests, and i don't believe that they can help me with that :D
