So obviously lots of people fail, die consistently before completion or even give up all together, I refuse at the last boss to quit!
I just need to know wtf I am doing wrong in the end. Every video I watch people manage to stay up top and nuke all 3 crystals no problem, come down and finish the job.

Me... I haven't managed to stay up top past 1 crystal.
Has the mechanic changed? Here's how peoples runs go, and how MINE go.

Person: nuke boss to 70% and kill 1 daedroth + 1 Mage. Go up, nuke 3 crystals, come down, nuke boss.

Me: nuke boss to 70% and kill 1 daedroth + 1 Mage. Go up, get knocked down in first minute (by the big old soul churn explosion) land on a daedroths head, try to survive (has died every time)

Is there a way of staying up there????? Because no video with commentary has shown me how, even with block and dodge roll lol

There is a way of staying up there!

If you watch those vids again, you'll notice a revolving "wall" of stone that rotates clockwise around the ring every time the boss begins casting the "big old soul churn." People are staying up by running so that the wall is between you and the boss when the explosion goes off.

It will seem difficult at first, but as you learn you'll be able to time it perfectly so that you can dps the crystals to right before the explosion and get behind the wall to safety.

Note that the wall moves slightly faster with each explosion, making it harder to keep up with, and the passive DoT effect also increases with time. Some with lower DPS actually have to jump off intentionally just to reset the wall speed/DoT dmg.

So I'm not encounting another problem (of course).
Can't even get up there!!
Kill the clanfear spirit, portal is blue, can't use it. No adds around.
Wtf?

Hmmmm. Are you making sure to kill the clanfear near the portal? If it's not close enough when it dies it won't activate.
