FIX PVP!

PvP has been a pain these past few months. One campaign with 3 bars of DC which is just boring while another campaign is 3 bars of AD. PvP has become something of boredom or plain out fustration.

Here are some tips

-Stop allowing faction switch, 1 campaign per faction. Having people switch from DC to EP to AD on the same campaign is just a ridiculous setting, etc is quite annoying when a campaign is still in motion
-Dont allow one faction to out number another extremely (Example: If DC has 1bar, AD and EP should not be able to go up to 3 bars.). Have some sort of lock until alliances are at least one bar apart so game play is somewhat fair. Its unfair and people just don;t pvp because its pointless and a waste of time.

All these new updates and DLC's coming out, it would be nice to actually help fix things once in a while.

I agree 110%, the three faction war is really a big joke in ESO, there is no faction pride or loyalty, no campaign pride or loyalty, just flip flop to what ever the winning faction is, the whole play with your friends not a good enough answer, My friends are all in the same faction, and if we wanted to fight each other there is a guest campaign. The current system promotes population imbalance.

But I am afraid the ship has sailed, on getting anything that makes the three faction war really a three faction war, the collusion is already pretty bad and after One Tamriel with players making friends across factions it will be end up even worse. I come to pvp to kill my enemy not to hold hands and dance around the fire.

Faction locking would make population imbalance worse, not better.

The solution would be to allow for easier faction changing: if the system was changed so that you can play always play any of your existing characters despite their faction on the faction that has the lowest population, and you earn AP faster when you're moonlighting for the underdog, people would dynamically choose to balance out the populations.

They already had faction locks for campaigns. It did nothing to encourage "fair play". Thats why they took it out.

Yuck.. I am DC and I don't want to play on AD or EP. If I did I would make AD and EP characters. Also limiting populations to the lowest pop would lock a lot of people out of playing when they can/want to. I understand that being outnumbered sucks and is frustrating. DC has a nice population now, but there was a time on NA PC that we had abysmal numbers and could hardly get 3 bars in 1 campaign. Locking others out from playing is not the solution.

did they not notice how this failed in uo? Faction warfare does not balance when you can bounce sides on one account.

OMG not another request for locking populations because one side can't get enough players on. Hey how about you start a thread requesting people from your faction to play on the campaign you are on. People have done it before with success and it is much easier than trying to get the game changed. Don't punish me and lock me out of PVP just because you can't get people on your side.

I did exactly this. When I used to be on DC in My campaign. I asked and asked. Many times on forum. Asking for more DC. But none reply. However when I stop asking and went to AD. In said campaign. DC came.

Sometimes it works. On asking help. Sometimes it don't. It wouldn't hurt to ask. You give good tip. However it didn't work for me.

I'm not sure why you quoted me, I didn't advocate for locking populations but the exact opposite of it. I think the solution to the population imbalance is:
-You can always play on your own faction, unless you're at pop cap (150 players or whatever per faction it is currently)
-You can always play on the faction that has the least amount of players, and will get bonus AP for doing so

If you only want to play your native faction, you can. If you want to help balance out the populations by playing for the underdog faction, you can, and are rewarded (slightly) for it. Win/win.

The main fix for pvp should be to disable faction team ups. I'm in Haderus almost every day. Not one day has gone by that I haven't seen factions teaming up. Until they balance the factions there will be no fix. Limiting how many players are in a campaign and penalizing players for cross faction teaming would be a good start
