Leave it out. What is it under 1m health. As a dps role that's more than your portion of molag kena who has 4m. No one walked in and out on 1hr straight away. Last boss once you've got it sussed takes less than 3 mins. Seriously it's that quick once you've got the hang of it. Nerf it and it'll be a face roll.

To hard. 99% of the normal playerbase would like to do it aswell.

That round is actually easier than round 5,6 and 7. You literally need to learn what to do and when.

But boss for 5 seconds, block, move to boss, bash, burn him to 70%, kill crem guard, kill healer, kill clanfear near portal.

Put dots on one crystal, dodge roll, dps another crystal for about 10 seconds, get behind wall, dps other crystal, dodging his skull attacks in between (he'll do it about 5-10 seconds after wall breaks and then about the same time again). Get behind wall, finish off last crystal.

When you drop down it's easy. Just grab the healing, power and defensive sigil. Then just burn him while picking up gold ghosts. Kill a crem guard if it spawns.

Honestly, once you learn the fight it's stupid easy.

I doubt many will agree with this, the majority of people here seem to like the difficulty of vmsa myself included. What we want is to eventually get what we want from there, either through a token/exchange system or better rng(ie. remove the useless traits). When people start exceeding 150 or even in some cases 300-500 runs without even seeing their weapon of choice even in a poor trait they just get discouraged.

    No to difficulty nerf.
It is perfectly fine as is just takes practice.

Once you know how to do it it winds up being easier than some of the other rounds. I think the main problem people have with it is due to stamina. You have to interrupt the boss, dodge giant skulls, kite around the crystals and run for cover so you don't get blown off the top.

If they just lowered the cost of dodge/block/bash while you are in VMA I think a lot of people would have less trouble up there. The entire boss fight is getting those crystals down in one go. Once you are done up top the bottom is nearly a certainty between all the power ups and gold ghosts.

TBS + VO + Trap Beast makes the whole dungeon a lot easier especially the top. TBS + Trap Beast will work on magicka too.

Here is a step by step guide.

    Start.
    • Trap beast the spawn portal, buff up, and time a heavy weave as soon as he materializes. Dump all your dps on him.
    • When he teleports away gap close and bash weave to interupt the skull spam, then gap close to the healer and kill it asap.
    • If the cremo spawns kill it. While you are killing it if the boss teleports away from you he is charging a skull attack. After 1 second of charging it you can dodge any time to avoid it.
    • DPS the boss to phase him, immediately start looking to see which portal will activate and head there. Range the clan fear and kill him on the portal. Kill the healer if it spawns, then head up. Even if there is a cremo head up if you haven't been hit with fire breath.

    TOP.
    • immediately head to the left crystal and trap beast it, and apply 2 dots then dodge roll. By that time a Skull attack is coming. If you do enough dps on the crystal you won't get another skull attack, it will just go into the knockback phase.
    • Range the crystals while you are following the floaty shield during the knockback phase.
    • After the knock back phase you will have less time to apply dots to the crystal before the Skull comes. Gap close and put 1 dot on it then dodge and finish the rest. You don't need to time your dodges on the skull. If you dodge 1 second after the charge up starts it counts for whenever the skull actually comes out. I don't even watch for it, I just know the timing of it because it's consistent.
    • keep minor force and 2 dots on each crystal while you dps it.

    Bottom
    • Grab the sheild, the axe, and the cup and dps the boss as a super sayien. Grab the run speed too if you are worried about chasing gold ghosts.
    • Ignore everything while you DPS the crap out of the boss while grabbing gold ghosts that might hit the boss.
    • If your dps is slow wait till the cremo spawns before you use the ghost explosion. If you know you have slow dps make sure you bank on getting 3 gold ghosts, so pick up that run speed bonus.

    Final step.
    • This is the most important step. Don't forget to grab your powered maelstrom ice staff on the way out.

With all new sets and CPs etc we need a hard mode, not a nerf in any way.

Everything else except a few dungeons and trials are ridiculously easy anyway.

The only thing wrong with VMA is the RNG drops.

The last boss is almost entirely about mechanics. You do the right things at the right time and you win. Even as a veteran of the arena, I sometimes screw up, but when I don't, it's the easiest and fastest boss fight in the entire trial. Just make sure you have a gap closer and some heavy heals for the fight. If any bosses need a nerf, it's either Snu Snu The Ice Queen for spawning so many adds and causing so much CC or the Argonian Behemoth RNG spore spawns.

I dont see how this is the easiest boss. I can rip through all the arenas but its been 6 months of occasional tries and its horse crap every time I try. You watch videos to get advice and these people hardly even get attacked and they're lucky to have frags proc for them. Ill have my shield up and still get instakilled. You take one hit, burns your shield and half your health, and before you even get a chance to weapon swap you get hit again. Theres far too many flashes and explosions and lights for me to keep track of every movement, its just ridiculous. Take a daedroth on - then instantly get a skull to your face. Dodge/block the skull instead and that daedroth burns you down like nothing. It ticks me off enough that white ghosts constantly spawn behind my back yet gold ghosts are always right by the enemy. Im so close to being done with this, screw master weapons this crap isnt worth farming.

It would just be nice have a chance to defend myself, a US citizenship test is easier than this and everyone failed that in gov class. Im constantly getting hit by 2-3 well timed RNG attacks while I wave my hands in the air like "wtf thats complete BS!"

    No, just simply no.

why should the 99% of "normal" player base be able to do it?

There are casual players and there are hardcore players, they know who they are, they know what they want, everyone is happy. The casuals spit on vMA, they dont bother, and the hardcore players respect their decision.

To me, you sound like a casual player wanting to be a hardcore player but do not want to put in the effort. That boss is FARRR from too hard. And if anything, there should be an optional hardmode for additional rewards.

At the top there is a constant dot that you have to heal/shield through. The reason it shows 45K on the death recap is because it counts all of the dmg the dot has done to you. So if you've been up there for 1-2 minutes, 45k damage really isn't as much as it sounds if you have like 20k health.

Yeah you stack them. Yeah those red rings are best guesses really and really need to be more accurate. I'm not really sure what to do about them on mSorc. On stam I just vigor and blood craze while circling around them. The fire they breath is the big danger but they don't open with that so you have time to get some dots and hots going first. The fire usually competes with my vigor so when it's done I dodge roll to avoid the next hit they do so I can get back to full.

Joys Maelstrom guide suggests interrupting the first skull spam phase of the boss with crushing shock then rune prison the healer, move away from the boss and overload the heck of the daedroth as we waddles over too you. Unlike the healer the cremo ports in from the boss so if you are away from the boss you are away from the cremo.

VMA last boss difficulty is just fine. It has the steepest learning curve for sure, but once you figure it out, it is one of the easier fights in the arena. Most people are going to wipe 50-100 times before they clear it the first time. After that, it becomes trivial. The problem with the arena is the stupid F'ing chest that is after the last boss.

Are you going upstairs without killing the cremetorial guard? If he breaths on you and you port up without killing him, the DoT will not make your time upstairs enjoyable. You either need to get upstairs before he spawns, or kill him first.
