Best mDK self heal

Just wanted to help out my fellow magicka DKs and to let everyone know of this combo for crazy self heals. This combo requires the use of a charged lightning which isn't the best for DPS but you can acheive 10k hps on your self pretty easily when using flame lash and wall of elements together.
The power lash buff from flame lash can proc from using a lightning staff Wall of Elements (WoE). This can be achieved because lightning damage has a chance to concuss enemies and enemies standing inside of wall of elements are set off balance. When enemies are off balance the tooltip for flame lash will change into power lash. Power lash is free to cast and can be spammed while the enemy is concussed and inside the WoE. If you use a charged lightning staff you get 220% chance to concuss enemies with shock damage along with the 100% from the Elemental Force passive. Now for the good stuff. Just an example, the power lash on my tooltip does 9824 flame damage and also heal for 12633 over two seconds. The actual heal numbers I am getting are 3 ticks for 7383 on the first initial tick and 4421 for two more ticks for a total of 16225. I got these numbers consistently 10 times in a row so I don't think it can crit. When you spam power lash using the above combo the self heal will also stack. With 2 power lashes in a row I am back at full health in 2 seconds. Power lash is also free to cast so you don't have to worry about regen as much with this combo.

Disclaimer: There are a few enemies and bosses that cannot be set off balance this way. Enemies that are resistant to lightning damage like storm atronachs never seems to be set off balance. But that is rare and it can be used to set most bosses off balance and there is nothing in vMA or cyrodil that is resistant.

You have to use a regular flame lash on an immobile enemy to get the power lash bonus. Using power lash removes the off balance so you would have to use another regular flame lash to get it again. The lightning wall keeps them off balance because they are concussed which last for 4 seconds.

McI✭✭✭Using burning embers as a lifetap works really well. You don't have to let it go to full duration for the heal. You will get healed for the damage that it has already done. I get heals for like 14k regularly.0 -
Duragon_Darko✭✭✭If I don't like the healer, I will sacrifice one of my weapon abilities and swap in lash in a dungeon. You don't need a staff, you can go Talons to immobilize then Lash twice. The first lash costs, the second is the one that heals you and is free. If done to 2 enemies, it's like a 24k heal in 3 to 4 seconds. I am not an avid PvP'er. But I do know that if any enemy is unbalanced or quickly stunned, Flame Lash becomes Power Lash with the heal automatically. So on some boss fights where Talons will not immobilize them, if I block one of their heavy attacks, that stuns or "unbalances" and I can whip a Power Lash and get my heal that way too. I don't see why it wouldn't work that way with PvP and Shield Bash or blocking..... I have to admit, the devs do listen to reason, if not to the forums. Thank you for "nameplates", a welcome addition to immersion, as well as the text chat box for PS4, which only comes on the screen when I need it too, and helps this gameplay SO MUCH MORE then without it. THANK YOU for the additions. Very much appreciated.0 -
