Connection Problems on PS4

When attempting to play through the game I keep getting kicked off with a message stating I am either messaging to much (which I am not because I don't message) , or it says that I am not on the right server, etc. During the gameplay I get stalls, can't interact with normal game functions, or will abruptly be returned to the start screen stating that I have timed out. Has anyone else had these problems? Can anything be done to improve the connection issues? I play on the North American server.
