the War of Daedric Princes.

Is this storyline going to shock us all with perfect gameplay with a chance to pick which Prince of Darkness to choose to fight alongside with or will it be a totally different. Scenes I have discuss this in Kings and Queens about the Daedric war on my last post. Just to refresh anyone that have done the Orsinium quest line you'll understand the ending and we are all on the same page.

What do you guys think how long would this storyline would take to develop, or do you think this storyline may have been trashed for now or put back.

I think it will be continued and pretty soon if Datamining is accurate. Since it seems to mention Azura and some aspects of the Tribunal I think it may have something to do with Vvardenfell as there would be a conflict between Azura, Mephala and Boethiah and the Tribunal. But first we'll need to go through Clockwork City has that seems to be a precursor to it.

*deep breath and sigh* Okay sorry but I have to be a lore nerd, they're not "princes of darkness" in fact only one Prince has darkness as part of her domain and that's Namira. Even if you meant to describe them as being princes of darkness in the "oh they evil" sort of sense, that would also be wrong. The Daedra are not evil, the Daedra are not good, they are beyond mortal concepts of morality (and gender too btw).

Of the Daedric of the war eh? Anywho, we know this is the direction they're heading in with the main story. We haven't had quests touch on the main story since Orsinium where it was heavily hinted in conversation with NPCs both of importance as well as random characters that Vvardenfell will be the next big location for the story (various NPCs talking about going there and the sort). We also know, from datamining, that Vvardenfell is under development as a giant DLC zone comparable to if not larger than Orsinium.

When we go to Vvardenfell, we'll see the story expanded, likely Mephala being a new big player.

Mephala has played a big part already in the quest line for Cradle of Shadows and for the stories in Fungal Grotto and, to some minor extent, veteran Crypt of Hearts. We also now Spiral Skein is expected at some point which is Mephala's realm of Oblivion.

Unlikely to be this year as the Q4 update is for One Tamriel. Probably not until next year but there is still a lot of content that they've announced informally that needs to be addressed first.

As said, Mephala has been mentioned a lot in the game already. Multiple quests, specifically those with spiders, are all attributed to her in some way. There is even direct contact with her in the fourth Falinesti quest in Reaper's March. Eventually all the realms of Oblivion and their respective Daedric Lords will be explored I believe along with the stories of the Pantheons of each race.

Because of how little influence we have on the direction of the storyline, I don't think we will be picking sides. I imagine we will fight for Meridia against whoever she points us at.

But if they DO let us pick sides (I honestly only think it will happen if they are planning to use that to introduce a new PvP map, but for "Daedric factions"), I'm in Hermaeus Mora's team. Unless for some reason he sides with Peryite. Then my brain will glitch and I won't be able to pick a side because I hate Peryite as much as I like Hermaeus Mora.

Oh I love that quest so much! Telly was great on that quest. I especially love his "I AM TELENGER THE ARTIFICER" moment right at the end.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I believe the bulk of Sheo's story has been done for ESO and we may only get him in small doses now. Like the quest in Southpoint. And I don't think the war of the Daedric Princes will have us taking their side unless it has to do with assisting the Ashlanders of Vvardenfell.

    Hm...
    How about...
Arenas. Each side competes against the others for their Prince's favor (read: some sort of reward).

Honestly, I wouldn't expect something like that. I think it will be just a regular story line.

Which is fine by me. I loved Orsinium story line after all. And we kinda have to rescue Darien at some point, right? I mean, people didn't forget about him, I hope.

Well no one exactly happens what happened to Darien right?
I think Gabrielle only mentioned he was standing outside when the light flash came.

I don't hink it would be very unrealistic he would have sucked into some crazy oblivion stuff and reappear on a further story line.

We know a few things about what could have happened to Darien. More than Gabrielle knows, actually (and you can inform her of your findings when you meet her in Anvil). First, he has prophetic dreams, and he tells them to you if you take him with you during the Coldharbor invasion. Second, we found a note from him in Orsinium:

    IylnubW.jpg?1

What Darien dreamed of was exactly what happened. He had dreams of the battle of Coldharbor since he was a child. And he says that, when it doesn't end with him waking up, it ends him in a place that is completely white, all alone, and he is really scared of that.
