am getting an unsupported msg and can't log into game
using a laptop using dx12.
what's the fix please

if you have dx12 installed, its not mean your videocard also support DX12 on HARDWARE level

As above, having it installed is one thing, whether your GPU supports it or not is another.

You also need to check that your Graphics card/chip supports it too.
I had same issue a while ago, my pc supported and had DX11 but I found out my GPU only suported up to DX10, changed my card and everything worked straight away.
