Healer needs help!

Hello everyone! I've been playing this game for a year but I've hit a wall on what to do to progress. I'm cp 420 and only play my templar as a healer. Currently I wear 5 piece kagneracs and 3 piece Magnus on staff bar 4 piece on dual Wield bar with will power jewelry. Any ideas on gear upgrades? And how do I get it?

5xworm(from maw of lorkhaj or you will able to get it 160 next update from dungeon i think from COH) or 5xaeather from craglorn trials.
Also you need to go with restro/destro.

Is the 150 spell power cure worth using if I can't get the 160 yet?

Why resto/destro? I have heard resto/ dw is good combo as well.

5x Spell Power Cure (WGT) is necessary (yes, in cp 160)

End game sets would include Worm (Maw or Guild Trader), Aether (Trials), or Twilight Remedy (Maw).

I would try to buy Worm if you have the gold, otherwise, willpower and engine guardian is a good temporary set up.

Also, use a destro staff instead of dual wield. Elemental drain is essential in end game.

Why resto/destro? I have heard resto/ dw is good combo as well.

Elemental Drain is 100% essential in any situation with magicka dd in your group

Yes, the SPC 5 piece damage buff to your group is so good that it is worth using ANY set of SPC you can get, even if it is CP150 or with less than optimal traits, etc.

And, yes, do use a Destro staff, the Spell Resistance debuff on target from Ele Drain is really important if you run with magicka users.

Also, Force Pulse/Crushing shock is a good way to clear those pesky portals with the Planar Inhibitor in vWGT.

The reason I say No is not because it's such a drastic stat difference because it's not. You have 420 CP, more than enough CP to do vwgt. Get in there and learn the dungeons because running normal dungeons is not gonna help when you heal 12 man content, and end game content should always be the goal.

I my mind you have to decide the 4 to go from there or 3 if you have a masters staff.

I will be changing that to 5/2 coming soon as there is going to be a good monster set fro healers(restores stam on crit heal) changing heal setup. so why would you waste $$ now on worm( sucks for those of us who have... like me) when it will be outdated soon. Though having it on backup if needed for trials would not be a bad idea. still not as applicable with a good monster set for healers changing BiS.

Well first of there is no monster set that restores stam on crit heals to my knowledge, I think you are talking about the sentinel of rkugamz set. Secondly it can spawn anywhere which makes it not that great and third you cant even use repentance on it.

yes your right that monster set. and 500 stam a sec is worthless? that's even more free stam and I looked your correct its not crit its jus heals. even better with hots and other heals going it should always be up.
excited about finally having a monster set for my healer even though it means not running worm I use my EA on a diff character so there might be an argument there, but SoR looks to be great group help for healer.

Edit: the 1 piece 2% is not a terrible add to the monster.

Yes would be very usefull if it spawns in the red area's, great! I rather use the master resto, repentance and shards to give stam back and still be able to use worm or eather lol. Much more usefull and beneficial to the group.

It could always be up? It has a cooldown of 15 seconds, you even read the description of the set?

and as for aether I do run that on a dps character while weaving.

edit: 15 sec and yes it would be another crappy healer monster set. but since it can be up always.......

agreed, 15 sec and it would ruin it and im with you worm or aether. constant up though and my worm will be collecting dust.
It would be nice to know for sure which site is right.

Aether/Worm and SPC will still be BiS for healers if they have a master or Maelstrom resto, purely because the buff bonuses outweigh the stamina return from a 10% chance every 15 seconds. 8% more damage and 250 extra WD/SD is more useful imo.

If someone's just starting though and wants to do end-game content, then I'd suggest 3xWillpower, 5xJulianos, 1xKena and 2xTorugs as a good setup. Heals scale from max magicka, crit and SD so having higher values means heals will heal for more. Combine it with 7 divine pieces, the atronach mundus, resto heavy attacks with a magicka return enchant, elemental drain, siphon spirit, mystic orbs, Essence of Spell Power potions and channeled focus and there's no reason for a healer to ever run out of magicka.
