Does the nord passive for damage mitigation stack with basic resistances? If no, is the mitigation shown as resistance?

Not exactly, the way it works is the damage mitigation is applied after your basic resistances. So you take 1k damage @ 50% basic resistance which makes it 500 damage, then the 6% is applied and it becomes 470 damage.

Not worth it, let Nord be... :( Same applies to orks, etc. They did not balance enough and 20% more health regen isn't helping, these classes are "less well-off"..

the passive is really noticeable, when stacked with footman+ absorb magic+ nord passive, then removing footmen for a different set, could really notice taking more damage. and that 5 piece is the same as nord passive 8

I think it's viable as an endgame tank. Maybe not necessary but it will make life a little easier. If the passive is calculated before resistance then that would make a noticeable difference. I don't math however
