That is correct. You'll get the crowns when it hits the date of renewal so if you purchased it on the 19th of this month, you won't get the next lot of crowns until the 19th of next month

So I wasn't charged for this little mishap then? So long as I cancel my auto renewal? And I'll still keep my benefits until the 17th-19th (whatever they consider 30 days) of next month? Or will it charge me in the future regardless?

You will not be charged again if you cancel auto-renewal. You also were not charged for your second attempt as indicated by it saying you were charged $0.
