Should ZOS remove keep walls and doors?

A scholar and gentleman, Enso, and I were discussing if ZOS should just remove keep walls and doors altogether to streamline things for the zergs.

    Not only this, also make sure to give every player a 10% buff to all stats if he has 6 allies within 10 meters, 30% for 12 allies or more, and 80% if there 24 or more.

    Hopefully, that should make small scale and defense more interesting.

    With Tamriel One i dont even see the need for more than 1 keep. Each faction starts at a resource, push the flags all night.

    I will let you all argue over which keep is best for this however.

    Yes, yes, I like where this is heading. It is my theory that the deer actually achieved CHIM. We must find a way to bring them back from that state, perhaps erasing their deer-memories, which can be done via Speed Zergs which warp time itself.

    Listen, let's be serious here for a minute.

    When a group of like forty people in an Alliance run up to a Keep and only three people pull out Siege Weapons and start hitting the wall or door while the other thirty seven run after one lone opponent who saw them and is trying to escape, or only attack the NPC guards, or keep trying to shoot opponents that are on the walls, or sit in stealth somewhat behind the Siege Weapon people, or focus on dodging enemy Siege fire, or just kind of run in circles, it's just not fair to those people that the three on Siege Weapons take so very long to knock down that wall! I mean, what are they supposed to do, it's so boring waiting on those three, so slow!

    Clearly this idea about removal of walls and doors is the only reasonable and sensible solution. It's just streamlining the process, making it more efficient, I'm not entirely sure why anyone would argue against it. In fact, I'm not really sure why there were ever walls and doors in the first place, really.

    All towers at resources should be destroyed at the start of a campaign and kept like that so players cannot ball up inside them.. no walls or doors..

    Think Haxus is just upset with the removal of resource tower doors. They do tend to want to get in there and farm. I'm not knocking Haxus they are a solid group with very strong cohesion. However, there does seem to be a underlying movement by ZOS to mechanically regulate what "they" deem appropriate game play--don't really think it matters in the real world though. But since this movement seems to be incremental (ROFL) it would not surprise me that at some point in the near future we see a large increase in wall and door health.

    I have been stumped for 2 years now trying to figure out how ZOS came up with this arbitrary number of 4 minutes for a keep take. I have advocated many times for increasing the walls the door health so that fights have a chance to grow reasonably in PVP. I get the ZOS goal of spreading out players to reduce lag and perhaps this is part of their mechanic. But It only works half the time. Especially with the transit issues that currently plague the game not to mention the loading screen issues, i believe it might be time to actually increase the walls and door health. They don't have to do anything dramatic but maybe a 25% or 50% increase would be ideal just to see how it all pans out.

    Think my best time at starting siege and repairing the wall after take was 5 mins. Would increasing this to 7 or 8 mins by adding more health to walls and doors be that detrimental to the game?

    Yes. There has to be some form of punishment for not defending your back keeps. If you increase the time it takes to capture a keep you can just defend one keep at a time in a huge blob moving from keep to keep. It has to be low enough that the defending faction has to decide on how to defend multiple keeps being hit, but not low enough that the defender doesn't have a chance to respond. I think next patch rams are getting buffed, and if that is true I fully expect keeps to be taken before anyone on the defending faction can get halfway to the keep.

    After about 30 bananas stacked into a resource tower last night, I was talking about how much I can't wait for the resource tower doors to go away.

    Is the lack of crap door interactions really going to turn the world of an elite group like Haxus upside down? I don't understand the hate of this change.

    its a change for casuals who cannot grasp the concept of sieging down a tower instead of standing on a flag like a doofus and a change for zenimax because it cannot even code a door to work. Ofcourse with the ballistas having a smaller radius your going to have about 5 ballistas on the bottom floor a few in a ring on the roof and if you can fit em in a few on the 2nd floor so those zergs down below will be blasted to hell and back with coldfire for being afraid to push in. Either way changes for the ultra casual always hurt a game

    Here's your mistake, assuming we need a keep. Obviously it should just be Alessia bridge, that's the only pvp environment needed.
