✭✭✭✭✭AP levels the assault/support skill lines. Putting an alliance war skill on your bar and grinding won't level the skill lines for example.6

AP is the only thing that will level the overall skill rank and unlock the skills, but once unlocked you level the individual skills exactly the same as any other skill, i.e you need to have them slotted on your bar and get the required amount of normal XP.
