Publius_Scipio wrote: »SerJustin was born into a middle class family in Evermore, Bangkorai. His father, SerBenjamin, a "stay at home father" had retired with honors as a captain in the Evermore City Guard. His mother, SerAnnette, a petite breton with shoulder length light brown hair, was an alchemist. She was the main bread earner in the family supplemented by SerBenjamin's pension.
SerJustin had an older brother who he barely could remember. SerBenjamin II, serving in the city guard like his father, was killed in action when SerJustin was very young. Pirates led by the infamous Long Rylana Silver, landed and attacked Evermore from the coast. Long Rylana Silver and his men were known for ransacking and pillaging cities, sucking them dry of riches, and leaving behind a smoldering hollowed husk. Legend has it that Long Rylana Silver also slept with every kahjiit prostitute up and down the western coast of Tamriel, fathering over 100 children/kittens.
The siege of Evermore last three whole days and three whole nights. Unforunately for Long Rylana Silver and his crew of skeevers, the citizens of Evermore persevered and sent the scoundrels unceremoniously down to Davey Jones' Locker. SerBenjamin II lost his life defending his city and was laid to rest within the walls in the cemetery. SerJustin was too young to remember it all, but he vaguely remembered how crushed his father and mother were. But they stayed strong and continued onward for little SerJustin.
SerJustin had a good childhood by all accounts. His parents always happily celebrated his birthday, inviting all of SerJustin's school friends over. The finest cakes made by hand by Mad Pastry Chef Krotha were purchased. Cakes so good that simply by thinking of them it would one-shot your teeth to cavity ville.
As SerJustin got older he maintained himself as a good student. His GPA always a 3.7 or higher. And he played on Evermore High School's soccer and track teams. He made his parents proud. However things would change. Change as only fate would have it.
While a sophomore at The University of Tu'Whacca's Throne in the Alik'r Desert, the War of the Three Alliances broke out. That summer while back home in Evermore for vacation, SerJustin was wrestling with the idea of postponing his studies to become an alchemist like his mother, and to join the war effort and enlist in the Daggerfall Covenant Army. He was being called by the shadowy memories he had of the sacrifice his older brother had made years ago.
Shortly after the war began the Daggerfall Covenant had sent representatives to all the regions bound by the covenant forged between the different people and races to recruit willing and able bodied men to join the fight.
And once again, as she always does, Fate waved her hand setting in motion the events that would change SerJustin's life forever. Events that would see SerJustin meet many colorful characters, go on many adventures, and come face to face with the nastiest of perils....
It just so happens that Fate waved her hand sending a young Covenant soldier and recruiter by the name of PUBLIUS CORNELIUS SCIPIO AFRICANUS to Evermore.....
To be continued.
